"Maximum time reached" are you kidding me?
So I was running some friends through the Nightfall, and we started farming Anomalies in order to get our time back up before the final boss. After killing a certain number of Anomalies, they no longer granted us time. Instead, it would say "maximum time limit reached" we only had 8 mins, from that point, to reach and kill the boss.
Really Bungie? Are you -blam!-ing serious? You put a cap on the number of anomalies we are allowed to find and kill? On top of this, you put a boss who runs away every 3 seconds for 20 seconds to a minute!? What the hell kind of bullshit is that?
So, you'll fix the things that players can benefit from, but still can't fix the things that players are afflicted by? Can patch that little tidbit no problem, but can't be bothered to fix the arc steam bug and the Prism/Momentum bugs? That's the name of the game?
Seriously, just get rid of the -blam!-ing timer! It's not even a challenge modifier it's just annoying. I'm tired of turning these Nightfalls into a glorified speed run. This is, by far, the dumbest decision you guys have made, about Nightfalls.
Let's also not forget that they put diminishing returns on loot. First event, I got 2500 glimmer. Next run was 1500, the next one was 500 and I no longer got gear or tokens from the chests, and the fourth was 300 glimmer and nothing else. What the actual -blam!- were you thinking?
Edit: let's be clear about this: yes, we did finish the Nightfall. I only did the Anomaly farm because the other two guys wanted to try and get their Rat king, and I was dreading the boss and his habit of poofing away every 5 seconds. It was a first-time run, so no i didnt have the anomalies, or the enemy makeup or boss strategy memorized or any of that trial and error stuff down yet. So go ahead and get off your high horse about "ha ha you couldn't beat the Nightfall git gud." Cuz if that's all you have to say, then you're the reason this community is regarded as being so goddamned toxic.

Yeah, the timers are pretty much the dumbest shit I've seen so far in Destiny 2. I also remember that they didn't want us playing certain ways in Destiny and therefore restrictions and rules were placed on us. Why the -blam!- can't we just enjoy the game how we want to? If my team spends 30 minutes in a nightfall, how the -blam!- is that bothering or diminishing how other people play? The timer should only be placed on the "Prestige" nightfall for the cool "hardcore" players. Why keep making decisions like this? How do these decisions keep getting pushed through? As a 'filthy casual" who plays when I have a moment to "not adult", I don't want my gaming experience to always be on a damn timer. It doesn't make sense. I'm on the last step of The Rat King and I just don't even want to be bothered with the nightfall. My opinion. Which I know doesn't mean jack shit.

It's because of that exploit people were using, shooting the same anomaly, leaving the zone, coming back to shoot it.

5 RepliesThe only way that shows up is if you try to use the exploit, the game knows how many anomalies you should get. Dont waste your time trying to do the exploit.

If you have something happen at home which requires your immediate attention then the nightfall run has to be restarted. Bad idea, regular nightfall should just have harder to kill ads and prestigious nightfall's get the speed run modification.

I beat it this week. I really disliked it tho. I much prefer the old nightfall with burns. Sometimes the burns were a bitch. Arc burn with the little thralls was a one shot. That was challenging. You really needed to work together and take them down without getting touched. Now it's just a speed run.

3 RepliesStop treating it like a speed run. Last night myself and 2 friends all average players did the Nightfall. First time we went in and just looked around did not speed past anything and got the boss down to half health before the timer ran out. Second time we knew where and when and still took our time and finished the boss with 4 minutes left and I think we missed a ton of anomalies. The only time we got on our speeders was to get to the tank which is the only part in that zone you have to do. I am sick of people who bitch about the timers but when you counter them you're an elitist. Average player and yet every week it has taken me no more than 3 tries to finish the Nightfall.

3 RepliesAre toubkidding me yhis is nothing. I tried the presrige nightfall, and it is impossible. The electric charges which you run through dont even spawn. Some anamolies are in a wall, and the maximum time reached is 5 minutes.

You can take your time kill all the adds while getting all the anomalies the legit way and make it to the boss with plenty of time to clear the NF. Not sure if the Rat King is possible for this one. The boss disappears for too long. The most time I have had on the clock so far at the end was around 2 mins

2 RepliesHmm, one of my friends found an exploit to keep generating an anomaly, he kept farming it while me and my other friend went through the strike and when he was forced to join, we had 10 minutes. Beat him w 30 secs left.. was definitely a bitch

I love the timer for nightfalls but this week is basically impossible to get my rat king done. The friggin boss goes for a smoke break for a full minute... It's a little broken for sure.
