Like wtf? Its just cosmetic. It doesnt affect your gaming experience at all. Most of the time you dont even see your character in 3rd person.
Its just stupid to complain about something so irrelevant.
Hate me for this, i dont care.

Like wtf? Its just cosmetic. It doesnt affect your gaming experience at all.
Yeah, when you think of it, all graphics are just cosmetic. Why do these devs always waste so much time trying to make anything look better. We could of had D2 years ago if they'd just stuck with 8 bit, with 12 colours, cause it's only cosmetic. Have you thought about getting into game development?

All I am asking for is more room to store your Shaders and Modifications. I am already past my max space for mods and its not even week 2.

You seem to have that take it or leave it attitude, we have on opinions on the product we purchase.

2 RepliesDon't you dare tell anyone they don't have the right to criticize something they've spent their money on. Whether I spent one dollar or one hundred dollars, if I don't like an aspect about it, I'm letting them know.
-
piss off shaders are the biggest part of my gaming experience bad looking character is a bad experience
-
they may aswell take shaders out of the game the way they are now, No point using them on anything unless your wearing max power armor, totally stupid, And rip pvp.
-
-shrug- I'd rather look at it as nothing else is a glaring issue so that's why we only hear complaints about the shader system. Which should be a positive note. I myself have about a handful of nitpicks at the moment. I'm almost done with the story though so I might have more by then.

When u have nothing to complain about but want attention so u complain about ppl complain about a legitimate issue they care about

Everyone has different parts of a game that they enjoy, so just because you don't care whether your character looks good, doesn't mean that other people have to share your opinion. You might think it's stupid, but cosmetic aspects of a game are very important to a lot of players. That being said though, it's not even just the fact that the shaders are one use that everyone is complaining. It's the fact that the second game in the series would take a coveted aspect of the first one and mess with it in hopes that players would spend real currency in order to get something they wouldn't have had to pay for in the old game. Not only that, but even if you purchased these shaders, they are still only one use and you would have to purchase them over and over every time you found a new armor piece you really liked and wanted to have shaded.
-
I understand what you mean, but different parts of the game have different meaning to different players. Some care about the cosmetic and customisation and others don't care less. Everyone is different and has their own likes and dislikes.

4 RepliesEdited by wickedZephyr_r: 9/10/2017 12:24:28 AMThere are many individuals out there who enjoy personalizing their character in order to have a better connection to the game that they are playing. People are not just going to sit there and not mention the issue that Destiny 2 has with shaders. Not everyone cares about the same things, which goes for all games. If you don't care about shaders, that's fine, but if other people do, then leave them be. You complaining about it won't fix anything.

2 RepliesI mean, there's a lot of complaints about the game right now: Sh!tty servers Awful Shader System Empty Chests and Collectables ect Pre Orders Content not being Received New Companion App and these Updated Forums blow Matchmaking takes too long Surprised I haven't seen anything about how busted high fire rate weapons are... Another huge difference in Class powers Titans seem to be the OP ones ATM, surprised they didn't bust the Warlocks again.

22 RepliesYou're right, it's just cosmetic but the system in Destiny was fine wasn't it? Answer me this. Why do YOU think Bungie/Activision changed it?
-
For many people etching out a personal style and making a character that looks exactly how you want them to is part of what makes games like Destiny fun, that includes how you color your gear, I wouldn't be so dismissive of that fact. Different people play for different reasons, please share your thoughts here: An Analysis of D2 Shaders and a Proposed Solution https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/230782429

The community once seemed to be in agreement that only cosmetic items should be sold at eververse (Xp boosters didn't seem to bother some people too much. I was indifferent). Bungie recognized this and capitalized by changing the system so that it still supports this notion, while increasing it's profitability. A genius (if somewhat greedy) idea. One that induces rage in those that care about cosmetics, and indifference in those that don't. The slippery slope is still in place, they just changed the rules and made it higher. This system is here to stay imho. The profit margin is too high for a corporate entity to ignore.

3 RepliesEnd game is about making your character look badass. This is how gaming works. No matter how many times you've beaten a raid or nightfall, the coolest looking Guardian still wins.

1 ReplyEdited by policzanin539: 9/9/2017 4:15:29 PMWhere are all these chumps who used to quit Destiny weekly? Let's enjoy. People are people and will never be happy. Let them quit! Quit over shaders, fools!

Whiners needs to hold on something, after all

I'm too busy being excited that shaders are applied per piece of gear. It's a non issue for this guy.

13 RepliesEdited by MainFrame-NL-: 9/9/2017 2:17:38 PMI agree, there's so much else to complain about that's more important. - nightfall timer sucks, I like to solo the nightfall while taking cover for a minute or so to take a hit from my blunt. Result: mission failed. - warlock solar class sucks, bring back selfres! - titan void class sucks, bring back the bubble! - hunter arc class sucks, bring back invisibility! - bring back grimoire! Grinded that shit for months to get max score just to see it get left behind. - clan rewards are nice but a personal limit gives an unfair advantage to clans with more players. - crucible sucks in so many ways it should have just been left behind in destiny 1. It's 2017 Bungie, pvp games require dedicated servers. This is not an optional luxery but a necessity! - the new weapon system sucks bigtime, snipers and shotguns on heavy ammo. There's so much wrong with this system It's just rediculious. Fix this shit then we can talk about the crappy new shader system

Yeah you tell them man. Why do gamers even care about customization? I think we should make everyone pay for a color change, armor design change, weapon design change, etc!
-
I know, bungie should focus on fixing the game breaking glitches before worrying about cosmetics

Wow. I used like maybe 6 shaders in my entire D1 career and changed them about once every month. I really can't imagine changing my shaders constantly. While having to grind for shaders is a bit of a chore and quite frankly, a little discouraging and annoying, I just can't say I relate. I don't plan on using shaders until I've got sexy legendary gear/raid gear anyway so I'm good lol
