so good and on point in pretty much every cut scene and situation/area
-
The music that played during the "My Captain" mission was my favorite so far.
-
Dude so many soundtracks I hear in the background remind me of Skyrim and it just makes me so happy. xD
-
Definitely enjoying the soundtrack. Now, let's address the elephant in the room! There's a soundtrack thread on the forums, which means it's time for all the musicians to subtly hint at the fact that they're musicians and start little arguments about who knows more. This process is completely unnecessary and it would make more sense to just make an offtopic thread, but I guarantee this would be a better place because more people will see it, so I'll start. Hi, i'm [dont wanna say my real name on the internet], and I'm a percussionist, pianist, and composer. Now you! Lol

1 ReplyI absolutely loved the soundtrack for D2 but there were 2 things I didn't enjoy that much. 1. It didn't seem as if a number of the pieces had much variation / they didn't have enough pieces for each situation. Specifically what I mean is that some pieces felt too out of place for the scenario or felt too similar to previous pieces 2. The Bassoon. Whoever decided that a Bassoon was a perfect echo / call sound to the main harmony is a moron.

4 RepliesWhile the music is really good, it doesn't seem as unique and memorable as destiny 1.
-
3 RepliesThis is the piece from the sequence after the Homecoming mission. Absolutely beautiful.
-
I feel like D2's sound track has more Fallout sounding tracks (slow to medium tempo. Deep sounds. etc) than Epic style ones( fast paced, action packed) from D1.
-
I absolutely love it. Micheal Salvatori did an excellent job with the score.

Edited by GunGraved: 9/7/2017 12:12:12 PMThe music is good but it isn't on par with what Marty O'Donnell has done.
-
6 RepliesEdited by JohnnyMcMoney: 9/7/2017 7:27:28 AMIt's not Destiny/Bungie anymore...it sounds generic as hell. Uninspired and often has elements and/or sounds like other themes/OST. The whole music-department went downhill after Martin O'Donnell "left". For Rise of Iron I actually turned off the ingame music, i couldn't take it...
-
The music in the first mission was GORGEOUS really helped the ambiance and the rising parts made want to punch some dogs and then one legionary, which I promptly did of course
-
11 RepliesI liked d1 music way more.d2 music isn't bad but it just feels generic.
-
I was thinking the same thing, on par with Halo and Skyrim. -blam!-ing amazing sound job.
-
Most of my clanmates and friends are talking about it; we love it. Best game music I've ever heard...including Steve Vai era Halo.
-
I an loving the music i actually get the hyped up feeling when doing new things and what not.

I noticed that as well, really well done on the music front.
-
this was literally one of the first things I said to my friend once I started playing and we were in party chat. I am amazed at the quality of the music it truly gives you the feeling that this is bigger than just "a game"
-
One of the areas actually sounds similar to one of the areas in skyrim
-
The music in the game is amazing!
-
6 RepliesThe prologué music when you're walking alone in the wilderness made my eyes water, so emotional and beautiful
-
Of the little bit I've played id definitely agree. Heard almost a proper string quartet at one point.
-
I've only finished the first 3 story missions but wow, the music is stunning.
-
No it's sucked I missed the original soundtrack
-
The music would be better if it cost silver to have in game
