I've been following Destiny since it was first announced in February 2013, and since then, this game has become an integral part of my life. Even though initially it was not what we were promised, Bungie has consistently improved this game and made it the most addicting game I've ever had the pleasure of playing. Looking back on how far we've come, as a community and as gamers from all walks of life, from first waking to the sounds of Dinklebot's voice, to becoming godslayers and the saviors of humanity, I cannot help but feel my heart swell; my eyes, filling with tears. We've come so far, and with less than a week until our next journey, all we can do is hope that the next 3 years of Destiny will be better than the last!

Edited by wickedwahine808: 9/4/2017 12:33:20 PMReflecting on the past 11 years, I cried when Marty was fired
My BF did take me to dinner to take my mind of things and the loss off my favorite thing in Bungie games.
I enjoyed vanilla because it still felt like a Bungie game. Wish I was feeling the hype like in the old days, but I'm not ;(

7 RepliesGoing through my trophies on PS4 (it takes a screenshot every time you get a trophy) made me tear up a bit, not going to lie. It's not just the game, it's the experience. Killing Crota was fun and all, but I did it with this great community. I didn't just finish a nightfall, I helped that kid complete his Sunrise Bounty. We killed Atheon, and I was the first guardian of my friends to get the mythoclast. I was ecstatic. They were jealous. I cracked jokes with people whose faces I've never seen but whose stories I will remember, because I became a part of them. Countless "just one more match guys" "This is my last try before I get off." It never is. This game changed me, shaped me. Anyone who loved Destiny like me became my brother. My friend. My fan. I could brag about getting the Year 3 necrocasm in the first week, and they would appreciate that achievement. Even now, I remember all the times I've spent with people I will probably never meet killing what boils down to lines of digital code. I wouldn't trade those memories for the world. Here's to Destiny 2 my friends.

lol everyone on here is telling you to get a life, yet they're the ones trying to justify themselves over a video game forum...

4 RepliesOne day you'll have a family and understand what real emotions are. You will look back on video games and realise how silly you were.

I'm telling you! I remember back in y1 when everyone threaten to kick me out bc I was a hunter, but then they saw me play and was like you're the only hunter that's staying lol. Then y2 came, boy did it feel weird not being the only hunter on the raid team. Y3 came and we beat the wrath of the machine with nothing but hunters lol. -
4 RepliesI like and think this game and community is cool but this post is a new kind of gay...

3 RepliesEdited by Joyaboi: 9/2/2017 11:50:47 PMI know Tuesday night Ima go into Cosmodrome patrol and hang around our resurrection zone with a Khvovstov, Calcutta, and Gally. On Wednesday when I'm installing the game (I got a disk) I will play the "Outbound Signal" mission with Red Death (my favorite Exotic), Efrideet's Spear, and my prized Ash Factory. I am not an emotional person But I am nostalgic

Edited by D34N0000: 9/3/2017 9:52:44 AMI'm sorry but it's shit like this that gives us gamers a bad rap. It's a video game, you should not be self identifying with it in anyway. Get more hobbies, I guarantee you'll be a happier person.

1 ReplyIts a game. Dont get too wrapped up in it. Enjoy the outdoors. Go to a movie. Take a walk. Its easy to get lost sitting in fromt of a tv or monitor.

I remember when I got a random invite to run VoG and I got my 1st Gallijhorn out of a loot chest....I'm over 50 and I screamed like a little girl....Definitely a top 5 gaming moment for me

1 ReplyEdited by AntiLukewarm: 9/3/2017 6:59:27 AMIt's also making me emotional because I miss Dinklebot. As the series moved forward Ghost and Cayde became more childlike, though my main problem is with Ghost. Hard to say if it's his voice or the lines you laugh at because that's how ridiculous they can be. I do like most of the banter between Cayde and Eris. Wanted to throw that in there just in case people think I'm being a stick in the mud.

Wow, three years... It's been a wild ride thus far, and I'm staying on the ride until it stops.
-
It mostly makes me emotional due to how three years has gone by... I'm growing so old.

I am in the same boat as you been following since 2013 and playing since Sept. 2014 and while I have disagreed with a lot stuff they have done I have to say this is in my top 5 of all time favorite games and I'm going to miss playing it... I wish we were able to come back at any time even if just to check back on our inventory of old stuff.... Looking forward to D2 though and all it has to offer!
