I haven't had a desire to do the nightfall since 3oc became a thing. Neither have any of my friends. Most of them stopped playing shortly after that because it was too easy to get things. No reason to really do the nightfall any more.
I'm hoping exotics are a bit more difficult to come by. Not so hard that casual players can't get them at some kinda reasonable frequency, but not so easy that we can get all of them within a week.

Sorry, some of us have lives and can't be bothered to raid three times a week.

I think he was suggesting a middle ground between Year 1 and the 3 of Coins era.

Why would you Raid for exotics? He didn't even mention Raids. Clearly he was implying that using 3oC on Ultras made getting them too easy.

You kidding me? I've been using them for three days and haven't had a single yellow engram drop for me

I implore you to reread my comment my friend. I don't want exotics to be hard for casual players to get. I myself am mostly a casual at this game, and I myself barely raid ( maybe 30 total completions over the three years of this game) My beef with 3oc was simply that it made them too easy to get. There have been days I have played where I have gotten 5 exotic engrams in 2 hours of playtime. Exotics were def too hard for everyone to get when this game first released. However, it was something to work for. 3oc made exotics easy to get, but lost the hunt for all exotics. All I'm asking for is something in between, so that casuals can still get exotics consistently for the less amount of time put in the game, but hardcore players still have something to look forward to get every week. It seems as though they are going In a good direction in that front by giving an exotic engram for completing the challenges in patrols or whatever. Should be easy enough for casuals to get in a couple minutes of play a week, and prevents somebody from getting all the exotics in one day. Coupled with that, I think that if exotics could drop from crucible and strikes like they did year one (low, low chance, but it happened! ) it gives plenty of avenues for casual players to get them as well, and that's not even counting quest exotics. Anyway, I understand your concern, but I think they did make it a bit too easy to get 3oc and exotics for last two years of d1. I hope you have a great day.

I agree. Once 3oC were introduced, exotics become much less exciting to get because you knew that you would probably end up with a couple of them each gaming session.
