Are you seriously bringing back old weapons and armour?
So in the latest trailer we seen Starfire Protocol, Takeanaught and potentially a hawksaw and others.
This CANNOT happen. It's just can't, you cannot justify it at all.
If this is a decision that had been made. REVERSE IT NOW!

A few items that reference D1 is not a problem. If something around 30% is brought back then it could be a problem. That could be lazy or could be good if applied well. The main thing is that OUR stuff, as well as Cayde's was destroyed not all gear so it makes some sense that some of the old gear will remain.

The simple solution to all of this would've been to just allow us to keep whatever is carrying over into the next game- what's the point of saying : "Hey guys we want you to have an all new experience with all new stuff so we are [spoiler]going against what we already said we wouldn't do[/spoiler] going to have you start from scratch for a better experience over all." Then you offer us the "fun chance" to grind for gear we already have. Let me ask you an honest question- when you go pay $60 for this "brand new game" and then get star fire protocol for the 278th time and none of the other new shit [spoiler]remember every old exotic that exists in the loot table is a chance removed of getting a new exotic you have yet to see[/spoiler] how 'awesome' is it going to feel knowing you're literally investing time into something you've already done for 3 years that is yeilding the same results- an old exotic you've seen 10000 times already?

What do you mean they can't justify it? Bungie is the king of making reskins out of reskinned gear that was reskinned before the reskin was reskinned

Sometimes I feel like a dog playing catch with these guys. Getting me excited, wagging my tail, and then they throw my toy so I can run like hell to get it and simply bring it back to them . Bungie winks at me once more before tossing the toy for me to retrieve once again. Then when I get tired of my original toy, here comes the frisbee 😔

We lose all of our items, but nobody ever said we'd be completely unable to re-earn them. Besides, weapons like Thorn and Gjallarhorn are too ingrained in the lore for them to be ditched forever.

Id recommend a few to come to D2, but not the others the way they are, I feel like if it's coming back, it needs a rework

Doomster. Bungo was always going to bring D1 stuff into D2. They have being lying to us since before day one. So never believe anything they say because they are forever changing their minds.

2 RepliesThat's what officially made me decide to not order D2. They just want us to keep earning the same loot over and over. You will grind and get a weapon, then 1 year later they will take it again because "new" content. Then the "new" content will be the gun you already had, you just have to earn it again before they once again take it....and make you earn it again. It's a loop that won't end, and I want no part of it. ESO is so much better than this game if anybody wants a real MMO experience. Goodbye Destiny, I will not be back...there's too many games out there with actual content, not just earning the same crap over and over again in an endless loop. Bungie has dropped the ball big time with D2....peace!

Come on don't you know anything.....D2 is made from off cuts of D1 duh Pretty sure that vidoc from 2013 shows at least half of the D2 content We won't truly get anything new till D3

Wouldn't be suprised if they chucked them in knowing people would be talking and discussing the matter non stop until something new popped up. Just don't believe that trailer was remontely close to a final build. That time to kill was just to quick from the trailer.

There's nothing wrong with reskin As long as they make subtle changes Fire rate, impact, sightings, elemental properties Rarity etc.... Maybe let the exotics turn into legendary, legendary down to rare.... Create new exotics then and actually allow those that NEVER saw/used these weapons in D1 to get hold of them and put to use!
