I wish I never played the BETA for D2
...because it ruined D1 for me. Now when I log into D1 I go to the tower and just stand there. I have zero motivation to play D1 at all now.
The BETA is to blame for this. I know that this seems to be a unpopular opinion around here, but I really enjoyed what I was able to play in the BETA. I am seriously looking forward to D2 now. So much so, that it completely annihilated my desire to do anything at all in D1.
Am I the only one, I wonder?

I think I finally burnt out of destiny 1 about a month or so ago. I picked gta up and haven't really been able to put it back down. After playing the beta, I'm in the same boat. I enjoy all the new changes and am excited to play them all which makes destiny 1 almost unplayable for me. I prolly won't play again unless I have a friend that needs help, maybe when the exclusives come out from ps, but otherwise I'll be waiting for D2 :D

I play Warframe as my other space shooter game or Minecraft for my building desire. I have been going back and playing TC Ghost Recon: Wildlands in the new tier one mode, made it to tier 32 or 33. Engage your imagination in a different way basically. Also having a job helps because it gives you something to focus on for half your day, depending on your hours. Also Ninja's please don't take my comment about other games the wrong way. Just giving personal examples to help this person come up with something to do to distract from the beta. I enjoy Destiny as much as the other games I listed. *Edit* Have you listened to music by Phil Lober? It is some really imagination driving music and I recommend his music.

Tried nightfall this week, got a minute in and remembered why I hate the taken and gave my disk to a friend so they'd know the "story" before destiny 2

Only reason I'm still playing is to try and hit a specific time played before D2 and to get my 5,000 kills in the crucible w/ my warlock. The titan / hunter are done. I'm a grimoire snob

nah, my enjoyment of one thing isn't dependent on other things. I still play classic games of other video games from time to time because I enjoy it not because another game did it better or differently and I'm comparing the two.

It's a trap. Bunglevision destroyed D1 on purpose to make D2 look "better". Just look what they did to PvP. It's now a Sticky/Sidearm/Icebreaker/Super spamfest because everything else got nerfed to shit. That's not fun. And that's why most people think the PvP of D2 is better.

40 RepliesLOL the beta was -blam!-ing terrible. I had to go back to my powerful characters in D1, because I couldn't stand playing as the weak beta male with a manbun in the D2 beta. The beta made me wanna kill myself. The weapon loadout is pure AIDS for PvE.

I agree, although its been like this for a few months. Given that there i s only a month to go, I reckon that All exotics (including raid exotics) should randomly drop. Whilst acknowledging those that have gone thru the effort, it would get ppl interested to try out weapons that they had little or no chance of getting. Just a thought.... as I know it wont happen.

This is why i played very little beta, after playing the alpha previously it ruined every other game for me, it also made the wait till release feel like an eternity.

1 ReplyI would of preferred the cabal take over being announced in the first game with just a simple cut scene of the homecoming intro where they get attacked. It would of raised hype for people who finished destiny 1, but now anyone that finished destiny 1 without knowing destiny 2 is probably going to think that everything that they did was for nothing and that the first was for nothing probably.

For me, it actually made me want to go back to OG Destiny and try the old game. I am super excited for the changes they made with Destiny 2...
