Y'all know what time it is!
It's Aifos coming at you LIVE from Off the Hook, with an insatiable craving for horde mode games!
Pearl: "Hey, who the heck are you, and why are you hijacking our show!?"
Marina: "Calm down Pearl, he's not hijacking anything, he's a guest star."
Pearl: "Hmph.. Well here are today's-"
Hold it! Breaking news alert! Aifos has a post!
Pearl: "That's not breaking news! That's hardly news at a-!"
Ahem! Post time!
So, I have a really big craving for shooter horde modes. You know, CoD: Zombies, Halo Firefight, Splatoon Salmon Run. Unfortunately, I'm awful at Zombies, Firefight gets boring after a bit, and Salmon Run isn't available all the time.
Not only that, but my internet's acting up..
So, I've turned to you, general populace of the Gaming subforum! Anyone know some good offline horde mode games? Preferably not that expensive.
Only real requirement is that it can be played alone. Something like Salmon Run would be best, as that's the specific horde mode I've been craving. I'll describe that in a spoiler below.
Tl;dr? Here's my point!
I'm looking for an offline FPS/TPS Horde Mode game. Any suggestions?
My answer/Salmon Run:
Basically you fight regular enemies until a boss shows up. Kill the boss, it drops an item. Collect & turn in as many of these as possible. Bosses don't just spawn at the end of a round, but several times throughout.
Pearl: "Can we talk about the maps now?"
And that's all the time we've got!
Don't get cooked...
Stay Off the Hook!

Once your internet gets back into shape, try Titanfall 2's new Frontier Defense.

Gears, Halo, and while not a horde mode technically, but Black Ops' Combat Training. Combat Training was (I think) the first and only mp simulator that actually had a leveling and unlock system of it's own that mirrored the real mp version rewards. You couldn't carry any unlocks over to the real mp, but it was fun to grind out and unlock everything to test out. No game has done anything like that since. I kind of miss it.

The only correct awnser to that question is Gears of War. Everything else is a shit tier copy. Gears is love Gears is Life Also, Fortnite is a very cool twist on the Horde genre.
