Destiny 2 Beta Extended through Tuesday 7/25

The Destiny 2 Open Beta has been extended through Tuesday 7/25 for additional service testing. Expected completion is 6 PM PDT. Expect service interruptions during more strenuous testing. Download the D2 Beta today before 5 PM Pacific to participate. We will be doing a lot of testing during the extension like: - What if we flip this switch? - What if we unplug this cable that's labeled "Don't unplug this for any reason"? - What happens if we spill a blue slushie on this important looking thing? So things might get a little weird. Thanks!

    • 1. Dont expand the time of using a super is sucks! 2. Comon no space fights using the usseless ships? Wauw.... 3. Whats actually new? This should be destiny 1 and destiny 1 now looks like the follow up...whatsup bungie? 4. Really? A shotgun as a heavy weapon?! Are you fffff kidding me?! 5. I like destiny dont get wrong but some changes are utterly stupid and take away the base of a computergame: "HAVING FUN!"

      • Playing the beta and seems a little sluggish. Feels like you fight the character now? Also power weapons feel weak and even in single player (pve) just feel weak. The worst part of it though was the assist system - why does it say defeated on assist kills? That's the worst part about the beta. The rest was great and liked it for the most part!

        • Please edit the kill assist system!!!!!!!!!! Pretty please!!! It's sucks < If you insist on going down that road - follow in the footsteps of battle field. If a player gets 95% damage and a team mate finishes or takes the kill, have it count as "team take down" or "assist counts as kill" Defeated coming up every two minutes is lame!

            • Everything felt pretty good. Abilities in pve felt a little weak tho. My biggest gripe tho is why is the Hunter ability an evade? Yeah it's cool both subclasses get an evade now but you a cool down on it? Why? Why couldn't lent the hunter have some kind of support ability like the Titan/warlock and incorporate the dodge perk into both subclasses?

                This is how i feel about Destiny 2 so far. I feel like this story will be absolutely amazing. But the subclasses. I wished to see more changes. Possibly different grenades. If i missed anything add it. Titans- Added:Captain America along with the bubble. And a running electric hulk. 2 different types of shields that can also cause damage. Things they took: no one hit for shoulder charge. No ice skates. Warlock- Added: Chargeable Grenades Rifts that add damage or healing. Tracking Nova Bomb Fire Sword of Death Flying Twilight Garrison without actual gear. Things they took: Res. Only one i can really think of. Hunter- Added: Changed knife to staff. All subclasses can dodge... but has recharge. Can shoot 6 shots even though u wont make it to the last 3. Exploding knife that does no damage. The sexiest sounding Super Pop cuz it sounds like ur a jedi when u use it . Things they Took: Blink. All subclasses have a dodge with recharge. ( can be good and bad ) no additional or new move really... No major changes to a hunter besides the Staff. Which is okay. Still dont have as much mobility as they make it seem. I still run the same speed as any other class. If you got anything to add or think is stupid comment on it.

                • People complaining about Hunter dodge perk - it saved me a few times where I ended up 1v2. Play Hunter as it was intended - not a bullet sponge: be agile, take your shots and bail with dodge if needed.

                  A lot of hate, just going to say i loved it. Don't change a thing. These people are just pandering to the lowest common denominator. Trying to hop on a bandwagon of calling a new game trash, because its not like destiny 1. (which was notorious for being called trash btw.) They just want to complain, because lets face it, they have nothing better to do but act like spoiled children. Trying to tell the actual professionals how to do there job. Listen people, they make millions! you most likely make minimum wage. Hell you probably bought the game, Have fun complaining.

                  • -Characters need to move just a bit faster, they felt sluggish while running. -Grenades need to be a bit more powerful. -Rocket launchers need to actually kill people, several times PvP players just shrugged off rockets? And against bosses they need to do more damage. -Remove the slow down of movement upon reload of weapons, lets keep movement fluid. -Instead of dying when out of bounds at The Farm social space wouldn't it just be better to hit a glass wall so to speak. -I hope you have hidden lots of secrets in the D2 game , and will reveal clues to any undiscovered secrets in D1. I loved the alternative route and ending through the Vault of Glass to get the Exotic 'No Time to Explain'. Or the the alternative mission to get the Black Spindle........ Etc I'm not going to judge D2 until the full game drops, save to say, I liked what I played so far overall.

                      • Do wish people would remember it was a Beta Test, and the primary reason was for load testing. It's an older build as it is difficult to take a cut of the code and then go through it to disable features you want to keep hidden, that takes time. So hence the core build of this is the same as others tried previously and therefore didn't include any updates or balance changes made following play testing. Whilst it would be good to have additional content I personally found it interesting and generally fun to see what's been changed. There will always be winners and losers in terms of what new versions of games deliver, no way to keep everyone happy. Personally I may not be 100% on the weapon changes but I'm willing to go with the change and see how it plays out. I appreciate the opportunity to try an early build, and will remember that it is only representative and not a full reflection of the game on release day.

                          Fix hit detection please. It seems a little off and it feels like it is lowering the skill gap. I feel like I see someone shoot first and I also die first. I don't feel like what I see it's the same thing my opponent see on his/her screen.

                            • Loved the beta, thought PVP was good and no longer ability spamming. However i do think Super charge needs to be slightly faster or more super from kills. However the Radar to me seemed less clear to D1. Can it be made brighter? Or at least have an option to be made brighter in the game.
