Weak weapons,
People just walk away from engagements,
Lengthy super recharge rate,
Sweaty 4v4's,
STILL laggy as hell,
If one person leaves, your team is absolutely screwed,
Feels more like a 4v4, dumbed down Call of Duty.
A thing of note, it's interesting how, bar a few outliers, the majority of people loving the new system have negative k/ds. Anything to do with the new k/d system perhaps? Enjoying your participation medals?
͡° ͜ʖ ͡°
Edited by gsRuckus: 7/19/2017 11:12:32 PMPersonally I prefer it to the ability spam hell that is d1. I'd prefer to have gotten teamshot to death than have someone about to die in a 1v1 throw a sticky and run. D2 PvP isn't everything I want it to be. I do think abilities are a little on the slow side and solo queuing is even tougher than 6v6 solo queue in D1, but I find it more enjoyable than d1. To each their own.

Way better than D1

Edited by randomhero204: 7/19/2017 10:25:45 PMPvp is better.. but... destiny imo is a pve game..

7 RepliesEdited by Airhawkeye: 7/19/2017 10:07:27 PMNo it's really balanced imo
not my fault you can't use a primary instead of spamming supers and grenades
as for lag it's a beta it's gonna happen,sweaty 4v4s
please explain
,weak weapons again it's a beta this isn't how will it will be at release,if someone leaves
it's called working with your team to teamshot
as for lengthy super recharge I do agree it takes a little too long but it's not bad I'm fine with one super a match
less ability spamming
Edited by arylonthedancer: 7/19/2017 9:57:57 PMI find it quite terrible in comparison to D1 yes. My main complaint is the reduced base movement speed across the board. I really enjoyed PVP in 1, but unless I see significant changes by release, I'll probably be PVE only and not sink in nearly as many hours as I did with the masterpiece that the first game was. I'm genuinely excited to experience the story and explore the worlds, but the slowed gameplay will steer me away to other games rather quickly. If it sticks around, I probably won't. Destiny was one of the best games I've ever played. Hate to see this happening to it's sequel.

If you can get 2 or 3 people over the course of a 5 minute rumble match you'll be the best ever.

4 RepliesIn addition: 1) The on screen info is way too confusing. Was there a problem with the old one? 2) Sticky nades don't stick. (here come the skill comments). 3) What was wrong with 6 vs 6? 4) If you go in solo you are screwed. In D1 you could go in solo and carry a team if you were good enough . . . not so here. Sometimes you find that you are matched with folks that are not that skilled and from what I have seen in the Beta you have no chance of winning. There are a lot of comments about skill coming up. I was under the impression that there were going to be sets of matches in PVP for hardcore folks and one for people that just want to have fun and don't give a crap about K/D. As far as supers go. . . it is not a skill question . . . it is a question of fun. They make playing Destiny fun. What kind of fun is it having a superpower and not being able to use it?

I wouldn't say that the new kill assist system is what makes us scrubs like it more as it is the fact that we can actually survive a tad longer. D1 Crucible was very skewed towards the Rambo/Slayer types. Because it was so easy to either one-shot or very quickly down opponents, those types of players could get away with reckless play. As a life-long scrub, one of the rules of engagement in most PvP that I play is "safety in numbers". Sticking with your team/squad makes it easier to survive. That wasn't as true in D1 Crucible but sounds like it is in the new one. But I can totally see how the people who felt like superstars in D1 Crucible are frustrated. They can't 1v4 with no regard for the objective or their teammates anymore.

Edited by Anfy: 7/19/2017 8:45:49 PM1. Didn't know people expected to have every single grasp of malok tier legendary weapon or overpowered exotic available to them in the BETA. 2. Come to find out, if you aim at your enemies head they die faster than usual. I know it's not the same as 1 hitting with a shotgun but still. 3. The only thing on your list that I have a slight problem with. Supers are super slow. 4. The 4v4 format doesn't make things sweaty, it's the players that determine that. I've had games in 4v4 against people missing hands and analog sticks and with super hero players who grinded D1 PvP just for this Beta. The same with 6v6, I personally prefer 4v4 because it is less of an aids fest than D1 is. 5. Expected at this point. 6. I find it easier to manage surviving a 3v4 than a 5v6, with a 3v4 handicap you can way more easily use good teamwork to your advantage without the risk of a random straggler running out in the open getting their cheeks clapped like bongo drums. I also enjoy the gunfights that do happen when you both commit to the engagement. It's about who hits more crits and maintains accuracy and not about a guy closing the gap in the blink of an eye with a garrison/shotgun combo. It's great.

Haven't experienced lag. There is a "Supremacy" feel to it. By that I mean if you stick together you tend to dominate. I'm not a fan of stickies not being a ohk, though. It may be "cheap" but a grenade attached to your body should kill you, regardless of health.
-
It's not trash but it's not there yet, i hate the fact i can pump someone with half a clip and they can run away! God damn its annoying, If they lowered TTK it would be perfect. We still need the option of bigger games modes though, 4v4 is sweaty. No matter what people are saying.
-
Not trash, it could use some improvements though
-
Crucible so far is great for me. Way more gun play involved without being naded every engagement.
-
Bungie put competition above fun, which sucks. We have enough competitive FPS games out there, what we needed was one that let us spend a few hours having a blast.

4 RepliesEdited by ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ: 7/19/2017 11:44:10 AMIt doesn't feel much at all like a "#2." Feels like a spinoff or reboot of the game that feels nothing at all like "1." I'm not entirely sure the game should have "Destiny" in the title. The mechanics are vaguely familiar, but only just. The primary pulse feels the closest to the old game. I haven't tried all of the weapons...but a good many. The meta is team shooting in pvp. Weapons feel less precise in their firing mechanic and physics. "Sloppy" or "loose" comes to mind, as a whole.
-
Yes the BETA is trash.
-
unfortunately, as much as it pains me, yes trash. D2 needs a major rehaul (both pvp AND pve).
-
Not at all its a good sweaty not ability spam simulator and teamwork is key I would rather an actual k/d than the new system. Lag has been minimal for me and I play with friends so teammates don't leave. Having fun with friends is what destiny is really about anyway

2 RepliesIt feels a lot more like halo now.

11 RepliesEdited by Hurt: 7/19/2017 1:45:39 PMAwh, stickies not working for you? Or do you rather run around with a sidearm while never using a primary. Give yourself some Destiny 1.

we've gone from bulletsponge bosses to bulletsponge players now LMAO, this company is full of idiots who need to be fired...literally.

2 RepliesI'm not completely convinced with 4v4. I have doubts about the competitive mode, seems like a majority of wins are due to team wipes rather than objective play, i.e setting or diffusing. I think overtime this will essentially be a trials clone, rather than PTFO game. I can see people waving off the objectives for sweaty matches. Not really a fan of the control map, i dunno it seems a little disjointed, the mode seems okay. I like that more people on the flag don't speed up capture anymore, although with 4v4 it would be pointless, as it would lock half your team in place.

People walking away from engagement is strategic if you don't have the upper hand and your losing a gun fight walk way find someone else to get the drop on. D2 PvP is very strategic whether you think so or not choose your battles don't just charge in like D1
