#RIP solo players2017 :(. Destiny 2 is supposed to be a new game created as a sequel to destiny 1. Something better... Than destiny one. However why do we only have 4v4s and like 2 different medals! This completely ruins the montage scene. Let's get those 6v6s back and running so that people can have fun. Sure. Competitive is 4s. Fine. Good. But don't ruin the game before it's even out.
Edit: we're trending! Glad to see other people want a larger more casual game mode! Over 900 replies! WOW...
Edit: lots of toxic bs is floating around these parts. Please follow my example and keep it clean and respectful. #6v6 at release! Upvote this and we may see it!
Edit: you could have 10v10 and it wouldn't lag any more than a 3v3. Look it up, it's common sense. Also, with 4s only, every game mode will be trials 2.0 full sweat. I want a more casual playlist where there aren't 150% try hards.

1 ReplyI could be wrong but as far as I know Bungie hasn't come out and said all playlists will now be exclusively 4v4. For all we know they could intend to pull a move out of their old playbook and have 5v5 social game types or even Big Team game types. This is just the beta I think people are forgetting that they only are giving us these to stress test the servers and find major bugs. I personally enjoy the 4v4 more but i can understand the community wanting diverse playlists.

1 Reply4v4 is great for countdown. Doesn't work for control at all
-
1 ReplyLet's keep this up! 6v6 at launch.
-
Lol what happened to this post ...

5 RepliesAny game that has a PvP mode will always be played competitively, people want to win; Humans are naturally competitive and want to show how great they are, whether it's in sports, art, who has more money/stuff, etc. I am happy about the change to 4v4 because it'll be less chaotic and more strategic, it's more like Bungie's Halo (not 343's) which I enjoyed; and the only montages I care about are Hush's lol

Edited by Atreuss: 7/19/2017 4:48:32 PMI am not a fan of small group pvp. That being said, I am going to give it a try and maybe after playing for awhile, I just may like it. Maybe in the future they will put 6v6 back in for some playlists. Let us hope, but for now waiting 15 more minutes to play! Hurry up xbox!

19 RepliesI never met a community that whines and complains more then this one. You guys want a better pvp experience and yet when they try you guys complain. They're damn if they do, damn if they dont. All i say is give it a damn try.

3 RepliesPssht, real Guardians want Crucible to be 1v1 only. Nothing personnel, Hunters...

1 ReplyGame modes like control need to be 6v6. I know it's only been a couple hours but it just doesn't play as well with less players.

*complains about 'the montage scene' being ruined *has double snipers that faggy cat emblem and gunslinger equipped we clearly have a typical 12 year old 'montager' who snorts g-fuel and jerks off to primal teamtages on a regular basis while spending 24 hours a day on the couch 'clip hunting' taking toilet breaks in a Mountain Dew bottle filled with tears of salt and loneliness.
-
The casual playlist is...a casual playlist, hence why we have 2 options now of casual and competitive so you can have fun regardless of 6s or 4s
-
Ruins the montage scene? Have you ever watched a halo 2 or 3 montage?
-
In. Your. Opinion.
-
I mean I'm honestly okay with 4v4, after playing for honor for a bit it actually works, its definitely easier to play as a team and think about how you wanna handle each engagement, I mean if you prefer a chaotic mess over team work then play cod
-
Too late. They have made the decision.
-
Classic haven't even played 4v4 and already don't want it. Logic
-
I had constantly said it in Destiny that Destiny is just an MMO Halo and people said I was wrong. Now Destiny 2 is getting even closer to being an MMO Halo. Still feel I am right so far.

Edited by iridionyx: 7/18/2017 2:31:32 PMBungie could've created a ranking system where 4v4 gametypes can fit in, while keeping 6v6 in a separate system. Overwatch is a great example, don't get me wrong. I know that they will have 2 different modes - party & competitive (i think its called competitive. Correct me if im wrong), but both will be 4v4. Edit: If you think that I'm hating/whining/complaining, I am really not. If there's anything that leads me towards that feeling, I apologize

2 RepliesEdited by zerax333: 7/18/2017 12:14:47 PMI do agree it's kind of odd to decrease amount of players in pvp instead of increase, as usually the goal for online fps games is to have even more players. But who knows, 4v4 might turn out to feel nice. I'm just kind of worried about trials. Like is trials going to be 4v4 now as well? (I'm assuming they will keep trials, as it was destiny 1's life line) but I kinda liked that 3 way fireteam set up. Guess all we can do is wait and see. It does sound like they downgraded overall with the whole game though. Taking away things Making things less complex, probably all for the sake of not having to put in more effort for balancing and such. I want more complex stuff and diversity but it feels like that isn't the case for destiny 2. I think they are getting carried away with making the game so "casual" friendly. And seems like a step back, but time will tell.

I agree. I am all for making all top tier competitive PvP 4v4 (trials, iron banner, tournaments) but as a casual player I don't like the idea that all game modes will be 4v4. 1. It increases the likelihood of full fireteams working together even in casual crucible. 2. It limits your options. I've never heard of the sequel to a game giving you less options on playability than the first. 3. It means we will see no large maps like we had in D1. I was hopeful that with larger teams maps like First Light could be more fun to play. 4. Bungie seems to continue to try to tell their players how to play instead of letting players play as they like. I'm disappointed by some of the limits imposed but I will still be playing the beta and most likely keeping my preorder and playing in september

12 RepliesI want 32vs32 my self.
-
You guys are forgetting about the times when you go in solo and get your ass carried hard by your better teammates lol
-
1 ReplyIll bet the DLCs will expand 4v4 to other pvp modes...all it will take is lots of whine and more $$

43 RepliesEdited by TheCyo: 7/17/2017 2:56:59 PM4v4 is the end for playing Destiny as a solo player. Now you have to be in clan. Now you have to play in a fire team. Playing solo in D2 will mean * you will have no chance to make plays because of weak weapons and weak abilities * you will be very lucky to get power ammo in a team of randoms * you will not have fun 1v1 duels but frustrating 1vTeam duels * you will get -blam!-ed bad And don't come back from the Beta and tell me it was amazing. Yes it will be, because there is no SBMM in the beta. You will fight potatoes. After SBMM kicks in, in D2 you will be almost exclusively matched against full fireteams like it is now in 3v3 modes in D1. Show me any Solo Q player in an upper skill bracket who enjoys getting stomped by stacked fireteams 24/7. At least now you can switch to rumble or 6v6 modes. Well in D2, like I said, you're -blam!-ed.
