Forever 399.9 for solo players?
Ok, I give up. Tell me what I have to do to get a 400 light level heavy weapon playing solo? Ranking up is a no-go. I assumed that there was a 1 in 3 chance of a heavy weapon drop for selecting the weapons option when I earned a rank-up with the Vanguard or one of my factions, but after months, and dozens of rank increases: 0 heavy weapons. The Gunsmith? Same story. I bought 50 Three of Coins today, but, as I mentioned in a previous post, they haven't dropped anything at all for months (137 T.O.C.s after I noticed). So if none of these methods work, what's the secret?
PS( I'm writing this from my son's account, his three characters are maxed out, so if there's any mysterious weapon or equipment blocks on this account, he's already got everything he needs)

How about completing the weekly bounties from the crucible quatermaster bot, he has a heavy weapon bounty - 15 kills in crucible with heavy weapons. Once complete you get a heavy weapon. Boom - you're welcome.

Playing Crucible drops heavy weapons at 400. There is usually a Heavy Weapon bounty at the Crucible quartermaster that guarantees a heavy drop. Playing raids (I know it can be a pain to find group).

1 ReplyThe easiest thing would have been to run IB last week. The Rocket Launcher was dropping like crazy! I must have got 6-8 of them the fall. Have you tried just running Crucible?

2 RepliesEdited by twirlypen: 7/15/2017 12:09:49 AMThere may be others but the SABER strike can drop a machine gun in the hoard chest. It doesn't have to be Nightfall. It doesn't even have to be the 350 Heroic playlist. Skeleton keys drop and hoard chests can be opened on regular 320 versions of strikes. It can be done and they do drop in rank-up packages. You just gotta know where to farm.

2 RepliesWhat PyroAJM said. Crucible weekly heave bounty. Put on your highest level gear before turning in the bounty. If you don't like PVP. You can get a heavy from the fallen saber strike chest. I'm not sure the drop rates, but I've gotten a few.

Pick up the heavy weapon kills bounty from the Crucible Quartermaster. 15 heavy kills, guaranteed heavy as a reward, should drop at 400 if you're that close.

Nightfall, strike chest, rank up packages, stack everything with 3oc, iron banner If u can't hit 400, u don't play this game at all. Sorry it's not just handed to you

1 ReplyGet a skeleton key and run the nightfall this week. Sabre strike drops the heavy machine gun from the chest. Other than that you can raid, get packages from any faction or vendor.

1 ReplyIB would've been great for you, RLs were dropping like mad. But try the Fallen Saber skeleton key chest - good chance for Barons Ambition LMG, and it drops either at or above current light.
