If they bomb the us or South Korea they'll get decimated by basically every other country in the world

North Korea want to join the rest of the world and help make sure that it stays a safe enough place for us all to live. Cuz after all, how can you become supreme ruler of whole world if there is no world to rule? [spoiler]china has also joined and so have Israel and Palestine. North Korea would lose a war with the US and its allies within a week. The problem is Seoul and Tokyo are both within range of North Korea's conventional artillery and would both take catastrophic damage. There would be tens, if not hundreds of thousands of civilian casualties from the two mega-cities. So avoiding war is critical.

Kim Jong Un is a narcissistic monster just like his daddy and grandpa. Folks got enraged over how Otto Warmbier was treated while under incarceration. News flash: that's exactly how he treats his own people if they make a mistake - not crying convincingly enough at his daddy's memorial for instance. I feel sorry for those poor people who had the misfortune to get stuck on the wrong side of the border. I'd like to see an end to that regime but it's gonna suck for the civilians.

It's all posturing. Look what happened to Russia in the wake of the annexation of Crimean peninsula/Syrian war. Putin himself admits the sanctions have been very damaging. Is anyone actually worried about NK? They might have a stockade of black powder and cannon balls? Maybe some muzzle loaders and a soviet era tank?
