Do you want Gary to have some dialogue during the raid (Please read first)
What bothered me about Oryx is that he spoke during the story but the moment we entered the King's fall he just stopped. I like to tell myself that he's just so mad or focused on killing us that he can't speak (There might be an actual reason for his lack of speaking during raid that I just don't know about) .
I for one really hope Gary says a couple things either before or during the fight. It doesn't have to be a lot (Hell, it could literally be him saying "I will kick you off my ship again") but it would be pretty cool to have some dialogue during the raid.

Once the encounter is started the back side of the room lights up and you see the outline of Ghaul. He slowly strides forward and bellows a mighty war cry. Suddenly a large figure fall from the ceiling and crushes Ghaul. Throughout the room the speakers emanate a raspy tone that speaks three words all guardians fear: [spoiler][i][b]SYLOK! I am all for enemies speaking. Bungie games have sooooo many fun lines from enemies. Silent or grunting enemies aren't nearly as rad.

4 RepliesI dont The last thing I want during the final raid boss is random talking. Imagine something like warpriest and you are getting on the platforms trying to communicate left right center, and then oryx just started yelling at you. Then you gotta either mute the gameplay audio (so why have it to begin with) or get your teammate to repeat it until x y and z fall into place I get where you are coming from with Oryx, but honestly, other than threats, there was nothing left to say unless they give him cheesy 1 liners to repeat a billion times during a fight. He knew how far we came and talking would be wasting his time, especially since his life was actually in danger vs just being sent back to his throne world.

Edited by Jdniscool: 6/20/2017 6:16:58 PMI've been begging for this since King's Fall. I wish that enemies in D2 spoke English. Cabal would say "for Dominus Ghaul!" Or "you aren't worthy". Ghaul would probably say "six puny guardians. Is this the last defense line?" *insert laugh* "prepare to die!"

I'd like to see him say something like "ok now you have my attention" or something like "let's test your light against mine"

I kinda liked that Oryx was quite. He knew we were a true threat at that time, and I feel like his silence was a sign of respect for us as an opponent. That being said, i hope Ghaul talks because it seems to be more in his character

Gary may not even be the raid boss tho, he might just be the story final boss.
