  • Don't believe in everything you read, private matches are coming very soon after D2 release. One just has to make a simple google for post reveal bungie interviews to know that. OP didn't care to do it, though. He preferred to come here and make a salty, mindless, uninformed post.

  • Why not from the start then?

  • Maybe they don't want people to get to know the maps before playing regular crucible or maybe it's some technical issue we don't know about. Anyway, it's not a deal breaker considering they'll be added soon enough.

  • It's probably to speed up development, which is actually a good sign, this mean that they don't already have the game done, meaning they can't really chop it up into dlc

Or the game is far from being finished and it'll have major flaws right after the drop including a day1 patch etc...and most of us won't be able to play it on release...

This is a bit overly critical. There is no way that a major video game company will not produce a playable game. Even destiny 1 for how gutted it was, was still functional.

  • Battlefield 4? IW had tons of problems on release as well. Trying to say a triple A company would never release a broken game is ignorant. They do it all the time now.

Perhaps I should have phrased my statement differently. The underlying meaning I was trying to convey is similar to DarkMythos's point. Major companies have specific methods to ensure a game functions properly at launch. Especially with a multi corporate game like this, there are numerous developers working on the functionality from a back end perspective. Obviously, I'm not ignorant to the fact that mistakes happen, but to not appreciate those safety mechanisms is - to use your word - ignorant.

  • It just seems like that even with these failsafes plenty of games are released broken from multiple companies.

  • He said there's no way a big company would ever do this...I proved otherwise, that's all.
