I know I certainly am. The reveal looked very impressive and the beta releases closely in the near future. Let the hate flow from the anti Destiny trolls.
Edit: We are trending. Couple of people that don't want to preorder. I get it. I am pretty excited myself about a hands on with the beta.

I'm not until I find out about Microsoft's new console.

1 ReplyNot pre ordering. While the gameplay reveal was nice and they seem to be addressing a handful of issues I had with the original, it's not enough to convince me that I need this game
-
Who remembers the TBD trailer? The HoW trailer? Or the TTK trailer? Anyone want to wager that we've already seen gear within D2's promotional material that won't become available until the first expansion (at the earliest)?

11 RepliesSo many development companies have betrayed their player bases trust with unfinished and bare-bones games lately for me to even considering pre-ordering... Destiny, Halo 5, and No Man's Sky are perfect examples of this in action. I don't know why anyone would pre-order a game from a company who milked over $100 from DLC's and expansions already. I want to get Destiny 2, but I don't plan on pre-ordering and I encourage everyone else to do the same. Have some self-restraint and at least buy the game the day after release so you can listen to some reviews and read some analyses from IGN or whoever before you throw your money at Bungie. No point in paying someone for work they haven't even completed yet.

I'm not preordering but will be getting it just not right away

3 RepliesI've said it once...I'll say it again... Its like when I went to see Guardians of the Galaxy 2! I was so furious! It was the same guardians as the last movie! Arrgghh! I wanted NEW guardians and a NEW galaxy! But no! Just the same! The whole thing was a reskin movie!

I will definitely wait until a good 4 to 6 weeks after release to decide. I can check forums and read more detailed reviews. I'm more into the whole pve/ pvp nerf thing. If that is handled the same as d1 then unfortunately I'm out. Looks like a good game, sort of a "Destiny 1.5 reboot". Not a bad thing but not a full overhaul from what i have personally seen. Hope it's a great game!

I'm going to wait. A company with no tech support, no interaction with the community , decisions made based on igp, makes it sound like that one game that failed off steam last year. I can see the back and forth with blizz saying its a bungie issue and bungie saying its blizz issue for the pc version. Bethesda taught me a valuable lesson on pre-orders so I'll wait for the community's opinion after release.

LOL no thanks, I'll hold onto my money this time.

1 ReplyIma wait for the beta for 2 reasons. 1) im poor and want to buy the season pass with it, so gotta save a tad bit more, wouldnt have been too bad but yearly psn needs renewing a month before D2 release lol. 2) i want to play it first so i can say to myself "ok this is what its like" and be happy, instead of spending £80 and being dissatisfied at buying before not trying. Either way im too invested in this to stop now bought it for 360 and all expansions available, switched to ps4 and did the same, im pre- ordering after beta looks sharper which is the 1 thing i can say im happy about.

Pre ordering any game is never a smart idea. Just buy it day 1, don't let companies count their money before it's time. U are telling x company no matter what ur game is I am buying it. It allows companies to get lazy and put out incomplete games. D1 was a perfect example of this.
-
I wasn't going to. Then I caught some of what they showed on Thursday. Preordering for certain. And it's only for beta access, extras be darned.

6 RepliesIf the traveler is all powerful, why did it not help during the invasion? 🤔
-
4 RepliesIts nice to see people are taking the wait and see route. People are starting to understand that pre ordering is terrible for the gaming community.
-
No, if they had moved to dedicated servers we would have done, (we have 3 ps4s in the house for playing destiny!) Also would be nice to move to 60fps, destiny 1 is visually beautiful so it would be good to push the boundaries a little now last gen is no longer a thing. I'm gonna wait and see.

32 RepliesNot. Reskinned content, with more micro-transactions incoming. You can expect to get the same small pool of gear with limited, locked-in perks over, and over, and over again. The same meta again, which Bungie will arbitrarily change as they see fit, not based on player feedback. Fanbois will cling to this series regardless of how small the changes. If you speak out against it with clear facts and honesty, the salt still flows from the Destiny zombies. The popular one right now is "IT'S A SEQUEL". That's the answer you get from every blind player when you mention how similar it is to Destiny.

Whenever I feel blue, I re-watch CNN's election night coverage

I already preordered the digital deluxe edition for xbox one. I will be doing the same with the pc version when it becomes available.
-
This ass hole at gamestop keep telling me to go home...or he gon call the cops. He been saying that shit for the last month. I told the bitch, I ain't leaving until D2 release.. fucc him
-
I am pre ordering
-
I am planning on canceling my pre order at GameStop.
But only so that I can pre order the didgital deluxe edition
-
2 RepliesYes I couldn't give a sh*t less about the PvP. The PvE maps look remarkably bigger than the original game. Can't pass on new raids. Definitely pre-ordering. I didn't expect it to look dramatically different bc it's a sequel, it's not a new franchise. They've also corrected a lot of the issues that bothered me about the first one. Can't wait for the beta.
-
Well I can cancel if the beta is really shit
-
I'm definitely going to be pre-ordering D2. My son and I have had a blast with Destiny starting on the Xbox 360 and PS3. With the release of the TTK, we were able to get a PS4. We have enjoyed this game a lot. I'm anticipating the same for D2. I'm looking forward to more of what we enjoyed from D1 as well as newer features and changes.
-
Edited by GaaraVII: 5/20/2017 9:27:53 PMI will probably pre-order but dont know if i should wait for the game to turn up in the Blizzard launcher/Store or buy the physical collector edition, kinda expensive tho.

2 RepliesI wouldn't preorder based on the reveal, but if the bonus is enticing enough I would. Let's be honest - if you enjoy playing Destiny, it's pretty clear that you're going to get more of the same, wearing a new set of clothes. It's a pretty low-rise gaming purchase. Wanting something more? Sure - I wanted to see ships as more than ornaments, and PvP that was getting bigger instead of more intimate. Those aren't deal-killers. I'd point to Mass Effect Andromeda as an example: as a religious devotee of the original trilogy I was doubtful about the new direction, but bought anyway. I haven't touched it in three weeks. Instead, I went back to working on my crappy PvP skills with my Hunter. But this weekend? 90% Injustice 2. Lovely game.
