unpopular opinion alert: i feel like the nerf to take all the special upon death would have been fine if they returned ammo mechanics to year 1 standards. that being when you kill a guardian in pvp they drop the special they have on them. i know i know balance blah blah. just pissing into a headwind i guess. end of the day i just truly hate how everyone and their sister, brother, and uncle are all using icebreaker. people say the patch is fine is 6s. but i just dont agree. in y1 or y2 i could play crucible all day. these days by the time i get a few bounties done i just want to delete the game. nothing specific irritates me about crucible really. just how people play now. i know its generally not peoples fault. its how you have to play cause the games mechanics now. you play by the rules or you dont play. i personally love sidearms. i have used them exclusively since house of wolves. no joke i havent used a shotgun since they had been introduced. i am just truly tired of every death being some jerk double body shotting with icebreak. or body shotting switching to blind perdition. tired of sidearms beating nechrocasm. tired of weapons of light icebreaker. tired of people who crouch behind a corner all game with a shotgun trying to hold onto their finite rounds like if its their chemo bag. -sigh- yea yea salt, git gud, dont play the game. yea yea i know. just saying i dislike the state the game is in. as i said i know majority of you guys/gals arent surreptitiously evil crutch using wanks. just how the game is played or else gtfo edit: the point i am making about icebreaker is. its not even a good sniper nor is it that fun. i have tons of fun/good snipers in the vault. but they dont do me any good these days

For the folks that love this new special economy... I would like to know if they would support losing your super, melee, and grenade energy on every death as well as your special ammo. This would instill the icebreaker logic on every aspect of crucible excluding primaries.

1) learn2primary 2) The new ammo economy isn't inherently a bad idea, it's very difficult to balance an OHK weapon (special) with a non-OHK weapon (primary) - [u]regardless[/u] of the TTK, need to mention that before some Thorn fanboy jumps in here waxing nostalgic about HoW. [i]However,[/i] they nerfed specials a million times in the past trying to balance them. Since their use is now restricted by losing ammo, those nerfs should have been rolled back. A nerfed sniper rifle that also has limited ammo is a terrible choice compared to a non-nerfed sidearm that keeps it's ammo. But if you move sniper rifles back closer to where they were in Y2, suddenly the equation shifts a litle and you might think about it a little harder, particularly in 6's where ammo really isn't that hard to come by.

No. I am enjoying pvp since the update. Try a primary and don't rely on your special crutch. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
