What is it now with people not wanting to teach new poeple how to do challenge mode for raids .
I dont know how to do challenge mode for wotm and everytime i ask someone if they could teach me how to do it they will either say "sorry were full" or they wont respond at all .
Now i know someone will say "why dont you look it up on youtube" my answer to that is youtube makes it seem harder than it actually is .

Edited by MysiKozisek: 4/19/2017 6:34:43 PMIt's not that people aren't responding to you because you tell them you've never done the challenges. They don't respond to you because you've only completed WotM NM once.

My experience has been that YouTube makes it look easier than it really is. I'm usually not a first day raider I give it a couple days and then I digest a few YouTube videos and then hit the raid. For me the videos do help, but they don't come close to giving you the experience of actually running it. But I do think it is appreciated if people at least review the mechanics by watching some videos before diving in, assuming you're not one of the MLG players that seem to easily figure out mechanics with little to no outside help.

I joined a group last night. We got to Aksis and I told them I have never completed the challenge. The group explained the challenge. I screwed a couple times. I offered to leave. The group told me to stay. We didn't get it done, but I got better. It was a positive learning experience.

If you know how to do vosik, you know how to do the challenge. The only difference is you have to use 2 clean rooms each damage phase and you have to use bombs to close the doors

You want to learn how. Watch these videos. Vossik https://youtu.be/FF9sztNch4U Aksis https://youtu.be/1Y64B2IrQg8

Edited by juicehead2004: 4/19/2017 4:30:18 PMWas in a group last nite, 2 guys had never done either Challenge. Vosik , gave a quick explanation and did it after a few wipes but no prob pretty much. At Aksis I explained the challenge , where to stand on each side and physically showed them and we 2 phased him after about 5-6 wipes. Not bad at all so don't lump the whole community in together, there's still people out there willing to help. As long as the people listen, learn from their mistakes and stay alive then I'm more than willing to try and teach them what to do with an explanation

What's the difference between someone on youtube explaining what to do and someone over a headset telling you what to do?

Took a guy through last night who's only done normal before. Took about 3 hrs but we got through with both the challenges done. Part we struggled on most was Vosik 2 and Zambosi. Only wiped twice on Aksis 2. I've found that joining a clan was the best way to get help with raids.

People do still teach others. Some people won't/can't be taught. Some people are tired of being lied to and just want to get their stuff done. When the difference is 1 hour in a raid compared to 3-4, why hate on the people wanting to do it in an hour. Or 3 hours a week compared to 9-12, its a pretty big difference. The people wanting to learn should put in the same effort the teachers did. Start with normal and learn the raid. Move on to hardmode and master it. Then join groups for the challenge, ready and able to help.

3 RepliesWell, if you want to learn it but don't want to go to school, then you are out of luck. It being Challenge mode School being YouTube

3 RepliesYouTube makes it seem harder? If you haven't done it, on what are you basing that statement? I don't think you should have to require that someone has completed it previously, as that doesn't mean they can do it. But I do think it's reasonable to require that you at least know the mechanics, and what you're supposed to do, even if it's from watching videos.

Watch a couple videos then hop in and pretend like you are experienced and just do what the video shows you lol. That's how I first started raiding.
