So I usually play a couple of matches of trials with some other friends during the weekend and we run stacked as that's what playing trials is made for, having the bet team possible to compete. So we end up matching another person who at the time was streaming (not going to disclose the name) and they were doing a carry. As you would expect because we are stacked we had them up 3-0 almost 4-0 when I get a msg saying "back out, this guy paid for a carry" from one of the opposing players. Needless to say we 5-0ed them and bagged them the whole time as they were doing paid carries and told us to back out. If you aren't good enough to carry don't take someone's money and say you can. Don't take their money at all, just help them for gods sake.
EDIT: Hey guys didn't think this was gonna blow up but I guess good? I'm back to clear some misconceptions. When I say stacked I meant that I ran with a squad of really good players that I often play with meaning good team chemistry and good gun skill.
Another thing some people are saying I should have let them win, the issue is that he revived money for something he can't actually do and expects others to help him get said money for nothing in exchange. This is a game, not a escort service. If it was a friend of mine I would have backed out as I know them and trust them.
EDIT EDIT: So a lot of people see me as "scummy" for running stacked. The truth is they are my friends and they're good too. I play to play not for Elo or kd (sometimes I do) but I like the aspect of the game and playing with good people. I assume tho that running stacked is frowned upon because I play with friends? Let me go bring up 2 random lfg players and constantly loose.

Good for you make that streamer work for his money. I really hope it took him hours and hours to do the carry.

2 RepliesI have been trying to get my friends flawless forever. They just aren't good enough.
-
Always play your best and if your doing a paid carry you better be able to win You had every right to win its the other guys fault for not being good enough I hope the guy they were "carrying" got their money back though
-
Omfg, you are saying people actually pay for the lighthouse? That's a scandal of epic proportions, I'm contacting Congress so they can subpoena all parties involved.
-
Can you give us the time and date of the specific match where they asked you to back out by any chance?
-
Good! They can earn that money!
-
3 Repliesbet if you did back out he would call u a scrub and get gud and all that stuff then talked himself up! i have never heard of anyone getting a paid carry in a raid, why? you either get gud or be kicked. just listen and you will be right! we will show you! but if your kd is only .5 you can pay me! trials is broken! there are good players out ther that deserve to go flawless but you hear alot about paid carries and streamers dying once and blaming everything but themselves! makes me giggle abit, grown men playing a video game acting like children!

9 RepliesI play stacked and bag anybody who carries lel, cause 90% of the time they paid for it.
-
Well done sir. Songs will be written about your victory and teabaggery.
-
2 RepliesRunning stacked it so sad though :(
-
Nice!
-
I've made it to 8-0 a few times but never flawless. Good job on not giving it to them.

I hate the idea of paid carries for the following reason: it dirties the spirit of true competition. If I'm running with friends through Trials and encounter a streamer doing a paid carry, and then get steamrolled, what does that show me? It shows that someone is only there for the money, hurting my chances to go flawless because true sportsmanship means little to nothing to them. Not to mention that it violates the terms of service...

Epeening stacked team member.

4 RepliesThere are people paying 50$ for raid runs. People are stupid...

You've done good. Do it again if it happens again.

1 ReplyMe and a friend got my wife flawless this weekend, living the dream
-
Paid carries? That's utterly pathetic! There are better ways of spending your money than to go to the Lighthouse. You can do that, for FREE!
-
Good for you, nothing wrong with this. I totally agree if they can't get there without resorting to asking for someone to back out then they shouldn't be doing paid carries.
-
I would have done the same(if I could play trials), and now there is one very pissed off streamer
-
8 RepliesWho's tf's dumb enough to pay someone for a carry in any game
-
I guess that is a new way to carry people then. Hahaha hey I will carry you but no promises every other team will cooperate but I will ask them to forfeit .
-
Good for you.
-
I wouldn't back out either. I only back out for friends, or if I'm being really generous and see that someone is carrying a light house virgin. Then I'll back out.

22 RepliesEdited by amandajc808: 4/17/2017 8:19:02 AMEither way, some poor sod paid for that carry, I'm not saying I agree with it, I don't. Personally I don't do pvp anymore, I don't enjoy it, and I am bad at it anyway, but if I was on your team I would have just backed out. What is there you need at this stage from trials to keep going and wreck their chances? I'm not talking about the dick that took money to 'carry' but the other guy.
