They promised a Game unlike any others... They Promised if We spent our time and $$ they would continue a platform that was applicable for 15 - 20 years ( ok Ten +... My Bad ) for growing & keeping all that we Accomplished ~
Am I the only one who see's they totally Lied Over all???
First, Bungie bragged up the game for years / decades ~ then don't deliver the mature version that was promoted, but instead ask activision to come and totally mess the whole thing up ~
They gave us DLC 's such as House of Wolves, then made it useless and obsolete ~
And NOW they tells us, All the time & $$$ some of us have put into this game supporting it & them ( game creators) No longer counts as well ~ All that we worked so hard for is Zilch, Notta, Zip ~ Nothing, but expect us to be happy that we have " stuff to do" till Sept. So we can start the process over ... Again!!??
I have been on this game, since day one, standing in a line with a back brace on just fresh from spinal surgery, to buy My limited Destiny Collection with the hard cover book, every DLC they dropped & was planning on D2 as it was added to this "foundation" we supposedly started with.
Buy, buy buy the New Destiny 2 is what they are pushing~ Sorry, Nope, Not gonna do it ~ I will no longer support Liars & Greedy people who just see MY $$$ signs... and have NO Loyalty to the people who made them ~ They just lost a Very Loyal Customer !!!

Omfg another bungie lies to us and steals our money post. over the years i have bought plenty of awful games. You have two options. First get rid of the game and never play destiny again. Or wait and see what the reviews are and make a judgment for yourself on if you should spend your money on it. Heres a tip not every game you will buy is going to live up to the hype and be as amazing as you might think. Nobody cares that you have butthurt that it didnt live up to your expectations.
-
I will I'm not ready for my destiny to end yet ;)
-
I will save your comment until D2 is released to see if you hold true to your words. No offense, but most people who said that they won't buy it end up buying it.
-
Not at launch, AAA titles can suck it. Especially Activision.
-
I'll buy it 2 months after when it's 19.99, and I'll get all the same loot as day one players somehow.
-
2 RepliesHope the focus on PVE instead of PVP this time!
-
Nope. We already seen what they have done to the players here in Destiny 1. Can't imagine another 3+ years of paid beta. I recommend waiting after a year or so after release. You'll probably be able to buy Destiny 2 the Collection for less than half the price of the original release. The craziest part is that you'll miss nothing too. Within a few hours you'll be endgame. They'll have boosters too because Silver. Money talks.

I'll wait for the first used copy I see. I refuse to give Bungie any more money. IF it turns out to be better than Destiny, then I will look at DLC, but I'm not expecting much at this point.
The developer gets $0 from used sales
This time around I will be very careful before I decide to purchase Destiny 2. After seeing so much nerfs to weapons that should not have been nerfed in the first place due to these weapons being exotics? These weapons are in the game and are meant to be used. Exotics were hard to come by at one point. 3 of coins never existed and you literally had to grind your ass off to get that exotic. But here comes Bungie and nerfs that exotic that you have put so much time in to get and it's no longer "fun" to use. Shame... I'm 35 years old and after seeing so many changes I've come to the conclusion that Bungie has catered to the younger generation of players. I've been seeing all of these events that really never caught my attention. In my opinion this game should've been rated M for mature and not T for teen. The festival of the lost event was terrible. I could care less for that event. Maybe it's my age talking here but when I see things that look childish as an event I won't participate. That feeling I had when I first played Destiny for the first time back in the Alpha and Beta has been gone for a very long time. Also, I just have to get this off of my chest. That last reward in the Age of Triumph that Bungie is letting you BUY a T-Shirt has got to be the most insulting idea I have ever seen. My son who's 8 years old would like that but would I? No -blam!-ing thank you. Give me a brand new weapon no one has ever seen before or a new ship or new sparrow or a combination of all three!?!? Just like they said "is an age of remembrance for you guardian, we will never forget you" here's your T-Shirt..........

Look, it is all about personal perspective. I think most of us were disappointed to some extent with the initial release. There were obvious areas that had been cut and a lack of coherent story lines. The game was not polished. However with every DLC it improved and areas that were lacking got better. Bungie worked hard to improve the game and did actually listen to the community to make it better. As far as "starting over" I don't see the issue with it. D2 is meant to be a new game and new story arc, not a giant expansion. They are working on new gear, weapons and powers. If they spent time working on how to transfer things from the old sets the news ones would lack the needed attention. And what use would it be to carry over old gear that would be obsolete in the first 10 minutes? Is the game flawed? Yes. Has it improved over the last 3 years? Yes. Does Bungie listen to us? Yes. In the end it is not perfect. But I have spent endless hours and made great friends in this game. I will pre-order 2 copies of Destiny 2 for me and the wife. I will sink endless hours in to its likely 3 year cycle. I will enjoy every minute.

1 ReplyI for one am pre-ordering as soon as its available

7 RepliesVideo games are to make every company money. Do you forget how the world works? Pre ordering D2 the second I can, even pay in full

Edited by Smough: 3/14/2017 10:09:58 PMAre you upset because you spent $50 on emotes and gear that won't carry over? Welcome to video game sequels I'll be your guide!
-
3 RepliesI'm definitely not pre-ordering it. I'll give it several months of reviews and forum discussion before even check it out.
-
2 Repliesprobably not. after having played constantly since day 1..... a little over a month ago i broke the addiction. haven't touched destiny once since Feb. 2. it'll be easier too, because a lot of my friends have moved on and said they are not buying it either
-
7 RepliesEdited by FRYKILL: 3/14/2017 1:37:49 AMI was reading many of the comments and frankly, I can't understand for the life of me why so many players are hell bent on pre-ordering D2 after how Bungie handled D1. I mean come one, keep handing over money to a company that screwed you over multiple times. Make them work for it. Bungie needs to earn that respect back. Shear lunacy.

1 ReplyCreating content and letting it fall into irrelevance always has been a thing in progressive games. You shouldn't buy the next game. Not because you are feeling robbed but because you are having the wrong image of it. Not to mention though, all the old shit will come back instead of there being new stuff. Which is sad.
-
I'll make my decision after release based on actual content and quantity of salt here 🤗
-
Buying it. And the game has so many fans and big communities, the small portion here visiting and say "no"...well, won't even notice them, lol. So why is this even a question. Of course "everyone" is gonna buy it. Because the goods outshine the bads, even in D1. Otherwise the game would be dead since Year 2. Since most players play PvE and have many many memories about the stuff which was awesome, it's not a hard questiom to answer.

I do think they should give people who've spent money on eververse cosmetics whatever the equivalent is in destiny 2. Just to clarify I've never bought any silver; this isn't a self serving post.
-
I've enjoyed destiny. So yes.
-
Considering I've spent more hours playing Destiny than probably all other games combined, yeah I'll buy the sequel.
-
Diablo 2? Hell yes! But Destiny 2...naw, probably 3 years after its release.
-
Yeah, probably

1 ReplyAs soon as the preorder is available for me, I will preorder it. The question is not whether I will buy it, but which edition I will buy. Hopefully there is a Deluxe Edition of sorts with a steelbook cover or something like that. Collector's is a bit pricey.
