In d2 the tower is destroyed. But what about the armor and guns in my inventory

I've always found petitions for video games particularly stupid, but this one actually makes sense. At the very least let us carry over our Moments of Triumph emblems, showing that we are the older players.

They are now parsing words and trying to redefine what Bungie meant by "your progress will 100 percent carry over to the sequel"* But, actions speak louder that words.... So, lets set aside the press quotes and focus on what's happening right now. There are at least four threads and over a thousand posts and walls of text in this forum alone about what should 'carry over' into Destiny 2. So, clearly this expectation was not some kind of fabrication. It started some where and was allowed to continue. So, why then did Bungie find it necessary 'only' yesterday to tell us that "...will not carry forward"*...? They could have clarified any previous statements and corrected any misunderstandings years ago. But, they didn't.... Because, just like "No Man's Sky", Bungie wanted and needed people to buy DLCs. And, they used ambiguities and exploited false expectations to make that happen. I feel you have really slapped us in the face this time. I have gone from an auto pre order to maybe getting it on release. I feel more disappointed in you as a company and I feel I can't trust your practices. I invested money into you through eververse and you have made that meaningless. Please keep the emblems. Some kind of reward for playing since year one would be nice too. Maybe in the former of ingame currency, materials or boosters. We put so much time in this game a head start would be a decent appreciation.
