Not a fan of this new Special Ammo Economy.... In fact, it makes the Crucible a lot less fun. Change it back....

100 RepliesThanks for posting. I am collecting feedback on the Special Ammo changes and giving it to the devs.

Totally agree, I have nothing against the current state of primaries, but sidearms are rampant and the joy of using a fusion rifle is virtually gone.

1 ReplyFrom what I've seen in iron banner most people are ignoring special ammo and using sidearms instead, its like a risk free last word because you get a much larger clip

1 ReplyEdited by UpF1st: 3/2/2017 10:37:47 PMRather than give us an incentive to use primaries by properly tuning weapons they took the easy way out which seems to be the norm these days for Bungie. Taking away special ammo from all secondaries except side arms has to be the worst decision to date. Playing Supremacy Iron Banner is annoying as f*ck with all the side arm spam. Dying to no skill crutch grenades and supers has always been annoying but this last update is 100% hot garbage.
-
1 ReplyThat's your opinion. Personally, I couldn't stand the heavy, heavy use of special weapons before.
-
I agree u went a whole match today trying to do last word sniper and managed to go 28 and 10 but I had zero special the entire game
-
1 ReplySysteme honteux !!!, comment peux t-on parler d'équilibre quand certains ont des munitions et d'autres non ? Sur certains modes de jeu c'est l'enfer si on ne veut pas jouer avec du pistolet.
-
4 RepliesReset all weapons back to year 1 and let us fight it out in the Crucible. Let the supers, primaries, secondaries and heavies all kill. -blam!- the cry babies. The game would have lost less players than all this nerfing shit has caused. IMHO.

BUMP! 100% agree. If Bungie wants us to use more primaries and less special weapons, than primaries need to be made better. Not make it so that getting special ammo is annoying.

3 RepliesEdited by SoAnnoying: 3/3/2017 2:57:07 PMI just made the mistake of infusing my Truth rocket launcher with a RoI level 400 heavy, only to discover that instead of 7 rounds of ammo and 2 in the tube, I now only get 6 rounds of ammo and 1 in the tube, WTF Bungie...! So, I have come to realize what Bungie's real business model is. Take the money and make Destiny complete and totally crap. Absolutely unplayable and frustrating to the point that people will be fooled into thinking that the only way to get it fixed is to buy Destiny 2. But, given the shocking lunacy in Bungie's decision making process, the number one reason for NOT buying Destiny 2..., is Destiny 1. [Edit] Reason number two for NOT buying Destiny 2..., Bungie and their sycophant trolls in it's so-called community that have nothing but contempt for what's left of their loyal fans.

15 RepliesAs someone who both hated fighting/using shotguns, I 100% liked the old meta a lot better.

I've made a separate post here, please let me know what you think. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/222842428/0/0

2 RepliesAgreed. The shotgun nerfs and the jugg nerf is enough to stop the warriors
-
1 ReplyI like it. Fix sidearm ammo retention bug and let picking up special ammo load it into the magazine like with heavy ammo
-
The people who comment about how "they like it how it is", if I was stupid enough I'd believe that. You people are the people that just complain, and complain until you get your way, and then when you get it you regret it. You'd think with THREE YEARS of destiny you people would finally shut up about shotguns. In case you guys didn't know shotguns normally kill in one hit in most games hence it's kinda what they're meant for. Also I've come to realize that the people who played Destiny from the beginning are the ones who put up with shotguns and don't get mad over them, unless it's a Matador that's understandable. The people who started playing a year ago are the ones who get all butthurt and complain to Bungie because they haven't yet figured out the Destiny Crucible. Instead of complaining for MORE nerfs you could just deal with it?

1 ReplyEdited by entwife: 3/3/2017 4:36:07 PMI prefer it the way it is. Primary focus is much better. Just don't let side arms stack ammo and we are all good. I couldn't hack another of shotgun crucible.

2 RepliesIt just surprises me how many desperate people switched to or now main sidearms. Sorry bungo, you don't phase me. I still dont use that tinker toy of a weapon and i see those who do as desperate no skill having trolls. All you did now was make sidearms king of the who has ammo on spawn. The desperate tools use the "meta" you forced while the skilled still use fusion rifles. Go ahead and tell me there's more skill in shotties or snipers or sidearms. I like to watch the suicidal bury themselves.
-
10 RepliesScrew special weapon players just use a primary and use special on occasions primary is the new meta and i hope it never leaves
-
13 RepliesYes, many people used Specials as Primaries, but now I can't even use my Special weapon for Special Situations! They didn't ''encourage'' Primary play, they Forced it. I Loved using my Auto rifle and Shotgun together against Shotgun-warriors, and it was extremely effective, competitive even. But now i can't snipe with my favorite LDR anymore, or even use my God-Roll Saladin's.

1 ReplyAgreed. It made it very one dimensional and campy, and a much easier decision to not jump into IB this week with my clanmates.
-
I think losing all special is rediculous but some ammo wouldn't be bad
-
Plz bungie change it back!!!
-
11 RepliesYep, just another day in Shitsville. People complaining about every other patch? Naw, that would NEVER happen in Shitsville.
-
59 RepliesNo. It is good this way. Primaries are used. Is it perfect? No, but I would rather this than every game being a shotgun/sniper dominated mess. I am actually seeing weapon variety...and that is even with everyone spamming sidearms. I got killed by The Comedian today...seriously, no one would have even brought that thing anywhere near IB before the change.
On a side note, requiring primary weapon use is a good thing, as it means the player needs a better degree of gun skill than relying on OHK snipers or shotguns. Requiring more skill means that good players are actually rewarded for being good, and not shut down by 6 camping snipers with Skorri's charging their supers.
The only changes I would recommend are bringing the amount of ammo Sidearms retain more in line with other weapons. Maybe 1 full clip at spawn, all additional special ammo lost upon death. A small reduction in the amount of ammo received from crates could also be argued for. It is simple: use your special at spawn until death or no ammo. Use primary. If you see special ammo, pick it up and get a few kills until you die or run out of ammo. Use primary. When heavy comes, pick it up, and use until death or no ammo. Use primary. ...are you seeing the pattern?
