33 RepliesI'm the guy who uses a scout, finds a couple good spots on the map and picks you off from a distance and moves to the next spot. Rinse and repeat. I know I'm annoying AF. I would always have a shotty just in case I got cornered, but barely used it. Even I think the ammo need is ridiculous.

2 RepliesIt's interesting to watch the way it's playing itself out. Supremacy is shotgun heaven most of the time, but shotguns are out of the picture. I don't think any one weapon is proving particularly dominant just yet. I still hate the "lose special ammo" meta, despite the fact that I seem to be doing all right with it (I hate having my special effectively chosen for me). But I have to admit, it's causing people to use their primaries more. I won't say well done Bungie because this was a crappy way to do it. But they seem to have succeeded in their goal.

I call it "somebody else's problem". Because I use my scout-snipe to drill an enemy halfway across the map, then let that crest be somebody else's problem. Because if I went and fetched it, I might have to fight up close. And do I have to remind you that my preferred up close weapons don't work anymore?

That's basically what happened in Destiny. Some people were overusing shotguns, and rather than give them a slight nerf, and a slight bump to primaries...they nerfed all special weapons with this "lose ammo on death" business. It literally makes the game less fun to play. I want to get into fights with weapons I want to use, not run around looking for ammo, or be forced to use a sidearm cause you're at a disadvantage if you don't (I'm a fusion guy). I always used my primary and fusion pretty equally. I'm generally positive, but for the first time, I'm not as interested in playing anymore. Bummer.

3 RepliesI always use my primary and secondary roughly 60/40. I'm a fusion guy. I used to use it to counter the shotty users, and was very successful. Now? On respawn, I have no defense against shotties unless I forego what I'm good with and use a sidearm. Usually dead just before I kill them. They need to have a better solution
