I don't blame them, given the current situation of the game. The ONLY reason I still log on to Destiny is that I am still trying to get the stream emblem. When I get that emblem, I will play other games. Horizon just came out and Zelda will come out later this week.
I have noticed fewer players are playing this game. People I have on my friends list are playing other games. I was playing Mayhem these past 2 weeks that it was on, and I think I can count with one hand the times the match started with both teams having 6 players.
Bungie, you have to do something, because by the time D2 is released, it will be too late.

1 ReplyI feel like this game has become PvP heavy. I've never be great at PvP. Yeah i have my moments, but im very inconsistent. Loved PvE since the game came out, but now... nerfs and buffs to weapons and subclasses that are based off of PvP data are interfering with PvE gameplay and i could stand that.

20 RepliesI feel bad for anyone who still plays this travesty of a "game". Would definitely recommend Dark Souls III and Resident Evil 7 though. For PvP just go play Titanfall 2, Overwatch, or BF1.

1 ReplyWhy would you waste your time trying to get a stupid emblem? Seems so pointless.

23 RepliesEdited by II I N D Y II: 3/2/2017 6:43:41 AMImagine a rodent running on a wheel. That's what Destiny players do. Day in, and day out. Trying to get that non existent piece of cheese that bungie calls "legend". It's hilarious to think that people actually believe Destiny 2 will be any different. When it will be ran by the same group clowns that ruined this one.

1 ReplyWouldn't waste your time trying to get that stream emblem now.. with this latest announcement

39 RepliesYeah...I'm a Beta player and I'm done with this game. It's no longer the Destiny I loved back then.

GI just gave the new Zelda a 10

Dude, -blam!- the emblem Horizon is seriously good!
-
Wow! People are leaving a game to play another one? That's mindblowing!
-

12 RepliesEdited by twinPrimesAreEz: 3/1/2017 5:07:20 AMI got burnt out right around the time of HoW and only recently came back cause I was bored...but it just made me remember why I quit: Got tired of Bungle micromanaging my playstyle. I like to play fps games even though I'm not very good. My weapons of choice are ARs and shotties cause I like to run and gun. Now tell me why the f*ck you're going to nerf my weapons and playstyle, not because they are OP but because too many other people also like to use them?!? In what world does that even make sense?? No D2 for me, unless they can prove they can stop trying to micromanage playstyles. I play video games for fun, getting micromanaged is an annoyance in the workplace so I'll be damned if I just let myself be micromanaged during my supposed leisure activities.

2 RepliesPlayed Destiny straight since the Beta and got over 1000h in my Account and did about 7 Chars just because of less content. But since ROI this Game is Dead. I left Destiny and started playing offline Games like good old times and guess what, no Frustration because we know where Content starts and ends. Maybe D2 will be good, But I don't think so even I'm hoping it. Year 1 was the best Period of D1 in my opinion

Horizon is so very very amazing.

1 ReplyCurrent situation of the game? This is the best the game has been in a long time, the only people that don't think that are the shotgun warriors who only ran around getting easy kills with little to no effort, and let's be real here nobody care what those people think.
-
1 ReplySo you are sticking around to get an emblem for a game you don't play? Why would you do that?
-
1 ReplyI left a few months ago. I check for new content now and then on this site. I've never felt the need to drop a drama post like this.
-
1 ReplyThat's actually incorrect.

Game is almost 3 years old running on ancient tech. Nothing wrong with playing other games but saying this game is dead is just a wrong statement. Going pretty strong for how old it is. Enjoy the new games coming out.
-
Because bungie -blam!-ed it.
-
They always are there just went one.

3 RepliesThe game is over two years old, people act like Bungie is a failure due to a declining population. You do realize the average video game has a lifespan of 100 hours. I bet many of you play 100 hours of Destiny in about two weeks, or at least at one point. There is no need to post about the game thinning out, most games thin out after a month. Destiny has had amazing success, even with many faults. I can promise Bungie execs aren't up at night worried about the population dropping. Bungie made a ton of money off of Destiny and is now focused on the sequel. Whoever sticks around now is just a bonus to them.

4 RepliesEdited by StrainedDig4: 3/2/2017 2:35:56 PMThis game is not the game released. That game was PVE with PVP as a combat training scenario to improve your skills to be used against PVE. As time passed, it became clear PVP was where the $$ was, so everything became PVP centric. The quest to make you play Bungie Style (BS) began with nerf #1. Imagine, for a moment, you wake up after being killed a long time ago. You have super powers, the same arsenal you died fighting with, and help from an alien ball. You re acquire gear you like and exotics you desire, after much tedious grinding. You finally feel capable of fighting back, then, Bungie! Every thing in your armamentarium is weakened, some reduced to useless, because, they worked well (proven by Bungie data showing popularity). Do you feel empowered now? Imagine further, PVP Killer Elites afraid, no, terrified of a weapon or power! Your shotgun now has less range than my melee. You need to reload just to kill one guy so you snipe. You camp and stay as a group to get your superpowers charged faster. Why, because your 'Primary Weapons' are shit. You need a magazine just to kill. Guardians are now bullet sponges, when the gun doesn't Bloom! You finally receive an 'update' that places a Sidearm, a handgun that's not a handcannon, in direct competition with snipers and able to outgun a Shotgun. (WARNING: do not try this at home, you will die badly, shotguns will kill you with 1 shot at ranges longer than your Dik!). In Destiny, you can now snipe a sniper with a Walter PPK! This is not a joke, a .380 round will outgun a .50 cal at 100 yards! It's now the war of the Killer Bees, stinging opponents to death by peppering them with tiny bullets. Manual fire DoP's reborn as tiny pistols! Which programming genius thought that would force the use of primaries? I can think of many superlatives, but to call them any would insult superlatives! You know a FPS has finally died when it's developers think Pepper Spray should force you to use a Primary they killed 2 years ago! Just f'king stupid. 19 days to go, and counting down. Next update: mandatory 5 day wait to equip a new weapon, FBI background checks, 5 round magazines, and, weapons not sold on Weekends! Destiny 2, rubber bullets, nerf #1. I called it...

27 RepliesGiven the current situation... This game has been out for over 2 years, of course the population is going to deteriorate as long as there are new games coming out. This is normal. ~TheGreatNike
