Flinch on the reticule SHOULD be affected as you are taking fire. Plain and simple. Anyone arguing otherwise is for a broken mechanic.
Edit #1
Interesting to see the sheer number of people who want broken weapon mechanics to remain unchanged. I want to know the live team's opinion on no land beyonds flinch.
Edit #2
I could care less about the reload mechanic. The flinch should work similar to all other sniper rifles. Especially since it is a primary. It should not remain immune to flinch.
Edit #3
This thread is NOT a call to nerf NLB. It is to FIX it.
Edit #4
I could care less about all the an boys out there who support broken weapons with broken mechanics. My message to the dev team is they have ONE more opportunity to fix broken ass shit like this or they lost me for good. Frigin ridiculous I have to deal with people in the community like this.

Above are links to this week's weapon stats for Trials of Osiris. Magically, NLB is the weapon with the most kills across both platforms. Cant wait to hear what the fanboys will say.

Be careful! Bungie might nerf you.

Show me on the doll where NLB touched you.

2 RepliesThe moment I saw a post about nlb on feedback I was gonna quit destiny. Welp I think it's my time.

6 RepliesI don't view it as issue of NLB suddenly being OP. It's about fixing a broken mechanic, flinch, for this particular weapon when it has increasingly affected all other sniper rifles. I think there are a couple of reasons why it's become an issue and needs to be addressed now. First, at some point after Bungie increased flinch value for all sniper rifles it became common knowledge that NLB was firing straight through flinch to land shots on target. Players are aware of it now and have adjusted accordingly. The end result is that it's an advantage that is exclusive to NLB which is neither fair to players using other sniper rifles or if you're facing a NLB user that knows this. Second, you have to look at the NLB in proper context of today's Crucible. It very well may have been the worst Exotic in the game in the opinion of many during the first year of Destiny. But the rules have changed, players have gotten a lot more experienced, and at this stage in Destiny the Crucible to filled with savvy vets who will use this one flawed mechanic to gain an unfair advantage.

Edited by Kone19ps: 2/20/2017 6:21:54 PMI would say it shouldn't have the flinch of other snipers. It should have a lot less from its difficulty to use. But I agree it's current flinch is a broken mechanic so maybe the old 20% flinch snipers used to have. Sidearms to add on I think should keep ammo on death, but not regen on death. I don't think bungie wants all special to be power weapons though I think they should. This is my middle ground.
-
I land 2 headshots with my high caliber rounded the distant star and still get headshotted cuz there is the no flinch beyond..... i stopped sniping on special ever since it was nerfed and totally destroyed. I even would say that ghost bullets exist in every weapon type..... i used sidearms all the time and what i realized to is that the wormwood ist broken ... killed a guy with two three headshots and i dont know how ... should control that if u try using it . Special should be eliminated completly from pvp .... maybe trials would be a lot easier with out sidearms spamming bullets on u or sniper headshots .... All we need i a buff to all damages that a primary does! Kill time is too slow compared to other games
-
Maybe just reduce mag size to 1? I hate it getting "speed"bodyshotted
-
If primaries were as good as they were in year 1, we wouldn't be seeing these issues because everything would be OP and therefore fun. Now there's only a select few weapons that are good and that's that. The TTK for Destiny is getting slower and slower every single year because of all the nerfs on primaries. So I agree with your post.

I agree way too annoying

Firstly, I have just 98 kills with NLB. I never use it because I'm straight ass with it, and I am shocked to see calls for nerfs on it. I never though I'd see the day that even no land would be a target for the nerftards. We've gone through shit like the vex and 2 tap sniper rifle thorn.... to this. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Please leave this forum and quit this game.

The fact that people complain about what used to be the worst rated exotic in this game just shows how shitty everything else is.
-
No. Disagree.
-
I disagree, I think it's a difficult weapon to use well, unless you really practice with it.

1 ReplyThere will always be something, won't there? The worst gun in the game is now being called "broken", "overpowered", a ridiculous amount of things that were not relevant until this recent patch. People need to get over their lack of skill and just play. Something always has to fill that void where we just complain about things that we don't like.

2 RepliesEdited by T1m_is_Here: 2/20/2017 11:43:37 AMhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOK8ns7umO4 Yall need to educate yourselves. If Truevanguard can't get consistent headshots through flinch then 99% of the player base doesn't. So to say that you were headshot through flinch consistently is a flat out lie or you were facing a very skilled NLB user. To even use NLB effectively takes a huge amount of skill. It has added scope sway that other snipers don't, crazy slow fire rate, and the sights are terrible, low hitbox and low aim assist. It does flinch the flinch is visual. You have to gauge where you THINK the middle of the scope would be if it wasn't being flinched. I would love to see anyone calling for a NLB nerf land a single headshot with it while being flinched. Odds are they won't because anyone good enough to use it effectively doesn't think it needs a nerf. The reason why the precision kill % is so high is because its a sniper. If you hit a body shot 99% the person gets away unless they are killed by a teammate or just plain stupid to challenge the NLB user again. Just accept that yall are getting owned by one of the hardest guns in the game to use. Instead of begging to bring the gun down you guys should just get your skill levels up.

1 ReplyIf people think No Land Beyond takes skill to use. Get your Brain checked.

Ok. So you claim that you don't want it nerfed, but call the gun broken? As for the mechanics of the gun, what is the exact problem? Other then you and the rest of the crucible/trials cry babies, I see no one else complaining? All of you cry'ed nerf over shotguns/clever dragon and got what you wanted. Now I see the NLB and side arm nerf posts. Get the f*** over your selfs. News flash, no matter what you do or how hard you try there is always going to be someone better then you. You and others like you are the reason why this game is slowly turning into another COD. You can claim that you don't want or support nerfs, but the rest of us are not buying it.
-
it is a nerf to it.....no land beyond is not all other snipers...not to mention it's the worst sniper in the game...
-
How do you know it's a broken mechanic? I think it's intentional so it doesn't need fixing. So you're basically calling a nerf. Can I say that for sure? No I can't, but neither can you. I think it's intentional. Don't forget it's a primary, It needs something to keep up with other primaries. It's there to reward people with quick aim and luck since the time frame to hit such a shot is very short. It also has the worst visual flinch of all weapons in Destiny, which makes placing shots while being shot almost impossible. I also think it's a mechanic to balance out all the weaknesses of the gun. For it being the only gun with scope sway, having the worst RoF/ damage ratio. Imo the only thing that needs fixing is the reload-cancel glitch.
-
"Fix" IS a Nerf in Bungie's eyes! I bet you want [armory]Universal Remote[/armory] precision damage removed to work similar to other shotguns?
-
1 ReplyThe whole game is broken dude.
-
Just fix the reload glitch its a bolt action that fires almost instantly. Then the no flinch is a trade off for the slow ass reload speed. Problem solved.
-
Edited by Heatcanonbolt: 2/20/2017 6:09:11 PMHow is not a nerf? Fixing it is another word for nerfing it in this situation. And besides, if you didn't want a nerf in year one and two, why do you want one now?
-
I think it's happened, everything has been chopped down in the name of balance. If THE WORST weapon is now in the most called out for a nerf, then everything else must have been brought down by comparison. Part of it is the new special ammo economy sure, it wouldn't be as widely used if it wasn't for that. But damn, it's just a sad reminder of how much nerfing has happened. If you want balance Bungo, maybe you should design PvP with balance in mind and not have this illogical belief that you can have 500 weapons with dozens of modifying perks and expect to balance all of them. I mean really this version of Destiny has been a 2+ year beta when it comes to balance.

10 Repliesit does to be fixed. the only weapon that actually needed a nerf.
