Bungie logic.
EDIT: For all those who read this and think they are being super witty / smart pointing out that Zhalo is an exotic.
The point is, it is the only PRIMARY that has an elemental burn.
In year 1 we had elemental primaries that dropped from Raids / Trials / PoE. They took those away to "Promote weapon diversity".
Now every time there is Arc Burn, the majority (not all) typically go for the only primary we have that has an elemental burn - the exotic Zhalo.

4 RepliesIsn't Zhalo an Exotic, though? If there's a primary weapon type out there that has Burns, it should be the Exotics. Now all Bungie needs to do is give us more elements on Exotic primaries, and bring up the Vex and Necrochasm.

They didn't even remove them but only discontinued making new ones except for zhalo Although technically it would have been more effective to give all primaries elements so it eliminates the need for any particular gun because you could just find the one you want but allow raid weapons to have more potent elemental damage so they wouldn't be cast aside for other guns

The problem would only be a lack of weapons themselves, merely taking away burns would further limit the game more than what it already has been.

Year one I routinely used Fatebringer, Fang of Ir Yut, Vision of Confluence, Solar Jewel of Osiris, Void Jewel of Osiris, Void Messenger. Right now, my Primary doesn't change from raids to PvE or PvP. Palindrome for everything. I have one with Outlaw/Spray and Play, rifled/Explosive rounds, Luck in the Chamber that decimates PvE and PvP

6 RepliesMy loadout was way more diverse when elemental primaries were in the game. I used every single one I had during the corresponding burn weeks. Now...I use Hung Jury/Treads/NLTO, Saladin's Vigil, and SS/Gjally/DD. My primary slot barely ever changes now. And those guns were fun to use with good perks.
