The amount of players I've 'been through' with this game is getting stupid... I've made some great friends only to have lost them a year later.
Then made more friends, we beat Raids together, played Crucible together then lost them too!
I'm here, Beta vet (I was away for the Alpha, such a scrub right?) yet haven't found 1 lasting player here.
Why y'all quittin pussies??? Oh no! Clever Dragon/Matador META got you making 'I quit' posts? Pussy!
Trials is too hard? I know, why don't you make an 'I quit' post, pussy!
Can't beat the Raid, I'm done! Quit pussy!!!!
In the imortal words of Scorpion..... Day 1 dedicated players, GET OVER HERE!

I'll come back at the next new content drop, but I don't really want to play anymore. I've had great experience,s but ever since I took a break and a step back, I see how repetitive this game was.
-
It gets boring. Get over it.
-
Played since beta... come on on the weekend for trials and Tuesday for icebreaker/ ldr's but it just seems it's lost it's touch not really much to do anymore
-
Not quite a beta player here. Tried it, didn't take. Only became addicted a little while prior to TTK. I've gone over five characters but my hunter main has always been, well, the main and the one I could never possibly delete, laughable kd notwithstanding. And yet, I feel I've done everything I wanted to do and collected all I wanted to collect in this game. Logging in and trying to find something to do has become a bit of a pain, since I'm no fan of the Crucible and there's nothing else worth doing in PVE. The drought is real and who knows when's it gonna end.

1 ReplyDo I continue to play Destiny? Yes? As often as I used to? No. I still enjoy Destiny, but there are other games out there. I also enjoy: Titanfall 2 Battlefield 1 Overwatch Borderlands 2 Diablo 3 That being said, every PvP I play seems to be in the doldrums right now, so I switch between games looking for a good match where I can find it.
-
Plan on playing till the end and hoping they can somehow make the story come together. Here's to hoping

3 RepliesEdited by MindfulPizza: 1/24/2017 4:52:07 PMUntill they make real lobby or clans, and guild in game going , rest just road runner through just as much as match making . unless in the hidden elite youtupers and twitchers , rest just like what ever. and move on. Nothing else to see, that we all did in the 90"s. There to fn afraid to put all there game modes in matchmaking , since then , the hardest core might come back and , make people cry , there racist as hell on deaft people. reason no matchmaking if do not understand the slang , then kids hear it is . http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=deaft

Edited by PotatoNet: 1/24/2017 5:12:05 PMSame. I will forever play Destiny and the sequels. I only play around 2-3 days a week. Tuesdays, sometimes Fridays, and Saturdays. Other than that I play Garden Warfare, Naruto Storm 4, Titanfall 2, Black Ops 3, and Battlefield 4
-
I left after year 1 and deleted my characters. Came back after year 2 started. I'm not burnt out because I don't grind hardcore like some people. I take my time. There's no rush. Video games are suppose to be fun. To get away from the stresses of work or life. If it's not fun for you, maybe you're taking this too serious.
-
If I saw this post two months or maybe even one month I would have agreed but now no.
-
Me, haven't stopped since the BETA not gonna stop now.

Still here. Even got an Xbox One S and play on there too. Love the game, could careless about PVP meta and I still join LFG raids to do VOG for fun. Still bored? Solo Crota. Play other games in between but still come back to this game for relaxing time. About to hit 100 days of play time!

3 RepliesEdited by jakiblak: 1/24/2017 3:37:58 AMYou should try other games. Limiting yourself to JUST Destiny isnt great. For example i have around 8000hrs in Destiny which is a fair amount, i have all the achievements, 100% of the game, all lighthouse flawless emblems from all yrs etc, all exotics except one (warlock helmet) Destiny PVP is some of the WORST pvp of ALL TIME, the geame itself is great, BUT Bungie have the WORST matchmaking system, average latency is skyhigh which means BAD experience for the majority of the players. To be honest, Destiny is not a competitive multiplayer game. Unless its played on a closed network like the MLG stream they did, that was great but that never happens. The best PVP players i have personally played with left Destiny just after The Taken King expansion, because the PVP is BS..ghost bullets anyone? Titanfall 2 pvp has NO LAG, no matter where u are its private servers hosted, 25ms latency vs 300ms latency for Destiny. You cant deny the maths. I actually tried to play Iron Banner a few minutes ago....absolute joke of a game which i left....mixed fireteam teleporting lag, shot before you step out from a corner (bullets through stone walls etc...GARBAGE experience..love the game, dont like how Bungie have no care for their players with 1980s networking.....

I come back for events and such for a couple weeks but other than that, I dont play anymore. I am constantly bouncing around games and other than Events, I dont have a reason to come back to Destiny.
-
I was a beta player, i was one of the first unto the breach. Destiny was never a forgiving game in the sense of you relying on completely random factors to progress. Dark souls is a hard game, but if you take the time to learn the patterns and movements then you can prevail. This is not Destiny. I like consistency, i like to know that if i fail its my fault, not because a computer picked a 3 and not lucky 7.

To be fair. Sometimes people need a break. Games are meant for enjoyment, not constant stress, anger, & frustration. If you make the game a job then it ceases being not only fun but it stops being a game. Many people just leave when that happens. Others leave because the RNG can be unforgiving & they are tired of doing the same stuff for crap rewards. (I have a friend who just cannot get Heavy Exotics of any kind to drop for him period.) He grinds & grinds & grinds but now he is finally beginning to hit his limit. Logs on less & less. Says the game isn't fun anymore & etc. I myself am an alpha player & I have taken multiple breaks/hiatus' from Destiny. Keeps it fresh.

Beta player here...I'm in for life

Edited by Ravontulet: 1/24/2017 2:54:30 PMQuit? No, but I have resolved to take a break til there is more content. 2016's horrid drought is now going to be an even worse 2017 drought; there is no Crimson Days, there is no announcement of any other Live Events for a while (who knows when) and there are more rumors that they will be pushing back the "sequel" into 2018... Yeah, time for us all to play other games if you're feeling bored or frustrated. I know I am. Don't get me wrong. Have a look at my hours played. I am a Beta Vet and I have put plenty of time into this game, I more than got my money's worth and I will be back when there is more content to do. All my clan have moved on and I hope they'll be back - I know I will. I love the game, but everyone should take a breaks and enjoy others. You are not owned by Destiny or Bungie. my 2 cents. <edited; for spelling>

5 RepliesI only have 1 friend from year 1. Sadly hes the only one who can equal me kill for kill in strikes or raids. You think im being dramatic... When i literally get double kills of anyone else in strike. It never fails either. I need more friends of that caliber and i know it sounds stupid but some of you k ow kingsfall in year 2 with randos changed you. The lack of patience after that nightmare of a raid for bad players is real lol.
-
Still one of my favorites. Most of my friends play other games now tho. Pain in the ass to get them on Destiny
