EDIT: Well shit.. we are trending.
Might as well share a few of my experiences.
2 months before Rise of Iron was released, some randoms invite me out of the blue to get me to help them through King's Fall on Normal.
All of the other five were salty squeakers who took 15 minutes to get past the tombship puzzle. The idiots couldn't even do Totems. Hell, one of them was only a 260. After wasting an hour of my time, I decided to ditch those stupid kids.

A million to tell. I just learned this from a friend make a post and stick to it. Check stats and liars get booted. Easiest way to find a good team. If you want to get carried through challenge mode go on twitch and pay a streamer.

People asking for 1600+ elos when they have never gone flawless, and have 900ish themselves with a .4 trials kd. Edit: worst pve LFG I have seen was someone trying to do VOG in year 2 asking for 310+ light guardians only. It's a 160 light activity.

Needed 4 ppl for a fresh run. All of em said they were experienced. Couldn't even beat the charges for opening the door. I didn't even think it was possible to give up on opening the darn door. 😑

Posted hm kf at golg need 1. specifically saying: not doing challenge ( it was a golg challenge week) because some in the ft were doing their first hm raid. 'Lfg joined your ft' and says - 'I'll stay center and call the plates' - ?? - for the sequence. - ... We are at golg, not warpriest - oh... Cool. So challenge? - nope. - oh... 'Lfg has left' Makes you wonder if he read the posts he responded to. And He didn't even wait to spawn and grab the cp.

I shade step past a doorway and 20 seconds later I get a message "why did you look at him and not kill him?!!" He went 2-6 I went 8-9 Smgdh Edit: and yes, I know I suck at trials. Aside from myself and another 400 that joined after everyone was 391 or lower and didn't bode well. We finished the raid and challenge in 2 hours, and the young chap was a pleasure to play with. Never met such a mature 10 year old. Not the quickest group by far and much time was spent pissing about dancing but enjoyed it. His psn was avatar or something. Thanks for the run young man.

90%of the time "be max light level with emblem and experience." joins. ft leader is 15 light levels under. proceed to wipe like 10 times because they clearly don't know what to do.

4 RepliesFirst time doing the raid on the first week of rise of iron and I grouped up with randoms. Now, everyone was new, so we died quite a few times and didn't think much of it at all. I was around 370ish light so I was kinda confident we could finish it. Now, the DPS for each phase was always lacking. Always. But we pushed through vosiks without too much problem. He's really easy. Siege engine came, it was a bit harder and one guy kept dying.. so we had to keep wiping.. but done it eventually. then we did Aksis phase 1. Again, not difficult at all. Then Aksis phase 2 came and -blam!- me. We struggled. The guy that kept dying on siege engine was doing like 30k damage on a dps phase. I asked him wtf he was doing.. look at his guns, turns out we just carried a 340 light guardian through majority of the raid... I asked him why he's 340 light and he said 'it's my best gear. Do you want my help or not?' Instabooted. Why no one checked the entire raid is beyond me

Not being able to beat Aksis phase 2 for a week because of everyone leaving and me having to find new teams every hour.

My team was at siege engine (normal mode) and we needed a 6th guy cause someone had to go to their job. We got someone off lfg and we beat the engine first try without a hitch. We opened the chest in the pipe after the jump off and the new guy got an exotic, apotheosis veil if I recall. He said it was a big jump in light and we asked what light he was. I shit you not he was 336 light. Everyone was silent for like 5 minutes. The run ended after that though as no one knew how to open the SIVA cube in the server farm and everyone just filed out until it was just me and the 336. I wished him good luck and left. It felt really good to help him out like that.

2 Replies3 Man Vault of Glass. Not long after TTK came out. As we were building the Spire two randoms from the patrol rocked up and started helping. After the door was opened we invited them and they joined our team. It was pretty clear they weren't that experienced but we got through without too much trouble until Atheon. After we wiped a few times and the new attempt was just beginning one of the newbie's says "Hang on guys I need to change my emblem!" ... We laughed uncontrollably for about a minute before we decided to leave knowing full well this completion was going to happen.

Yeah, I was with a group of 12-year-old squeakers. They would not stop talking about P___. It's almost like they had just discovered their D___. the rest belong to me mine. Not so much lfg, but lfg was involved. A friend of mine ditched us as we were about to kill Warpriest. can you guess what he ditched us for? any guesses. could it be Chipotle, or Panda Express, Or Pizza? Well if you guessed any of those, you'd be wrong. If you guessed a MICKY F@#KIN D'S or as some may know it as, drum roll please, McDonalds. yeah, you heard it right this kid ditched us for some chicken tenders, fries, and a drink. I main a warlock, that comes into play. Back in year 1 Crota's end hard was fun even more fun was with a lfg team. We made it to crota and this squeaker who was on a hunter said he could sword bare so we let him... he only gets one hit on the first down. and we go through the same thing with the other two hunters and three titans. I finally said screw it, I'm rocking the sword. 1st down I got 4 hits, second down I got 4 hits. and this went on until I killed crota. Back in VoG I knew a guy who wanted to do templar. we do the on ground strat. some teams can handle it others can't. After about 5 wipes this guy was getting triggered. I told him to calm down your attitude isn't helping I have a better Idea how about I cover hidden left while everyone stays up top with Ice Breaker. of course, he wouldn't listen to me. I go onto lfg find a team kill templar and get a fatebringer equip it and send a message to him while he was still doing the templar and told him to inspect me I got a fatebringer. needless to say, we deleted each other. That's it hope you enjoyed.

Was doing KF at golgoroth challenge with some buddies when our LFG random leaves for no reason. We go on LFG and there is one post who said he had done it before and he was in his alt character. He joins the party and to nobody's surprise he's a squeaker. He starts saying he is max light on his other characters and has done it before and he is running it on his hunter for the first time. He flies in and we realize he is 300 light (Max light at the time was 320) and he is a blade dancer. I didn't think much of it and figured he just got out of crucible or something stupid and I'm not gonna tell the guy how to live his life. Before we start it up he insists that he's done it before and he is MLG and if he makes us wipe to kick him. Needless to say, we wipe like 10 times over. Each time he insists that we shouldn't kick him and give him just ONE more chance. We tell him to knock that blade shit off and he says it is his only upgraded class and he doesn't even have nights talker yet. We try one last time and he pops blade and runs up to the acolytes at the end of the hall, kills about 2, and the adept melees him and he dies. He then proceeds to yell at right side for not shooting his ads, which is why he died. Simultaneously me and 3 other of my friends absolutely scream at the all-to-nice host to kick the guy, something that should've been done 45 minutes ago. Note: tears were shed remembering this day

Looked at his character and he had on a defiance of Yasmin. When confronted he said "It's 320 I wanna use it" We told him to infuse it into his spindle or shut up about not using it, he went on about how we were all filthy virgins and how he gets paid 5 times a day. He was a squeaker
