Bring Destiny Back To Year One. (Crucible)
The state of Crucible in Year one was great, there was people running arond with shotguns, fusions, snipers, handcannons, autorifles, pulserifles, and scoutrifles. It was great, all guns were good and had their place in the meta.

Edit: After reading all your input I realised that I don't want Year One crucible to return, what I want is all guns to be powerful and for each gun to have their own place in the meta.

It's bs that rate of fire can kill before impact every time even when the impact is so much higher then rof. For example the hopscotch takes 3 burst to kill. The lyudmilla d from gunsmith also takes 3 burst when the impact is so much higher on the lyudmilla. There nurfing the hell out weapons pretty much making them UN usable no matter how much we wanna use them. Just balance shit bungie!! Stop trying to make us use what you want us to use.

No idea how a developer can continually make their game worse. The community has be very vocal about the issues this game has yet they just power on with their stupid changes. I guess they really want no one to play their game.

You could get 2 tapped at sniper range and there was nothing you could do about it. It was... Okay? But i think alot of people say "year one crucible was the best crucible" because it was all still fresh and new and theyre often looking back on it with rose tinted glasses. Objectively, the current crucible balancing, while not perfect, is better then it was. Does it need tweeks? Sure but with a steady flow of new weapons coming in they have yo constantly rebalance to account for all the new gear.

Anything else was shit (especially Pulse Rifles. They were just disgusting). Then we had the Thorn Meta, which consisted of Thorn, TLW, Fielwinter's Lie level shotguns, Final Round Efrideet's Spear, and maybe Red Death or MIDA if you got bored of using the same 2 guns. Handcannons and Slow Rof Pulse Rifles may have been good but don't forget fusions were an honest joke, fast RoF Auto Rifles and most other Auto's were laughable, and scout rifles were just Hand Cannons with less impact.

Haha no way. I remember year 1 and it wasn't the best pvp has been. It actually feels a bit like year 1 now. Everyone is using 1 primary (clever dragon) and 1 secondary (matador) Can you imagine getting two tapped by a thorn or last word across the map? Shotguns killing you at double the range? Final round snipers?? Haha no thanks, that was pure feces.

20 RepliesThe only reason it was great was because sbmm hadn't been implemented yet, so everyone was having fun, trying new guns they found....now it's so sweaty that you have to use the meta weapon to even compete. So if by bring back yr 1 you mean remove sbmm...I'm in

Idc if we go back to thorn tlw pulse meta ffs anything is better then this trash shotty sniper meta. I mean seriously this is mat garbage ass meta I've played yet in destiny and I've been playing since the beta. Just complete garbage that trials the last month is literally 80% secondary weapons.

You are 100% correct. Exotic!primary is crap. They nerf every dam thing good in this game. They nerf your weapons, armor, classes & them wonder why people get pissed off. Bungie is like Hillary Clinton they don't have a clue what's around the corner. For me the server is one of the biggest problems. The more time has gone by since y1 & more people are playing that's why the lag fest. IB has been terrible. The lag has made matches crap. You get killed behind walls, behind cover & I love when your shooting a guy in the face & all he's stabbing you in the back & your death is swift.

2 RepliesEdited by Technohydra: 11/17/2016 9:04:13 PMY1, from what I have gathered and others have said, was basically CoD-level TTK's with broken weapons, where combat was more about seeing the other person first, using the latest glitched or broken gun, and forcing everyone to either use the meta or learn to fight the meta. TLW / Hawkmoon / Thorn meta stands out. Broken shotguns, broken fusions, broken everything, but it was -exciting-, apparently. I'll take the more strategic approach and go somewhere else if I want true twitch shooting. The meta is pretty wide open right now, there's just too much special ammo to let it show.
