SBMM is ruining it for me. This morning I played 5 matches and the worst connections I have experienced. Red and yellow bars every match. Laggy choppy play. Just a bad experience. SBMM needs to go
-
Just don't play anymore. If we keep supporting them, nothing will be done
-
Every time I see SBMM post it's always people complaining about the lag, I never seem to run into this lag problem.
-
6 RepliesGet a better internet connection. I rarely see lag in matches. Or git guuud, that can work too
-
13 RepliesGo dig up some dead posts from 2014. You kbow what you'll find? A TON of posts on how awful the lag is in this game. SBMM merely adopted the lag, Destiny was born in lag, and raised by it. Seriously, the problem isn't SBMM. It's a crappy P2P setup, bad netcode, and no ability to stick to your region when being paired up.

Edited by Stari: 11/17/2016 3:39:42 PMI was having these problems with CoD from 2006- 2013. Almost every match i was cursing. Then a couple of CoD's i've had k/d's around 3. They got some hybrid dedicated servers. After played CoD for more then 10 years almost every day, it was just not interresting to me any more. Even while i got k/d 3 and mostly no lag....so i quit CoD after 2nd Prestige in BO3 (k/d 2.9 normal and 4.7 hardcore) In Destiny i experience exactly the same like in CoD from 2006-2012. Deja-Vu. So even if we get CBMM, i think i won't play it any more. Destiny's PvP hurt/ damaged me too much.

1 ReplyMy suggestion; go into a playlist where there's only 6 guardians. Waaaaaaay better connections there. Requires about a 5th of the bandwidth to greenbar in 3v3 or rumble
-
9 RepliesYou played 32 games yesterday, 32! 24 hours after this post you played 32 games, why is that if its all so crap ?
-
Suggestion: go to private match and play by yourself ;)
-
Has to go

1 ReplyI would like to go back to cbmm. But I'm not going to sit here and act like it's purely for better connections. Better connections would be nice but honestly I just wanna shît on some lower skilled players. I mean let's be honest, that's why most of us would like it haha

24 RepliesSome of you guys jumping on the "get rid of SBMM" band wagon need to realize what you are asking for. I am not referring to the OP, because he is your typical beast player that is asking for CBMM because he wants to beat up on casuals. But all you average guys that are calling to remove SBMM need to wake up. First of all if you are an average player then you are not dealing with lag as often as you claim that you are. Most of you over exaggerate because you want to support your favorite streamer or you want to believe that you are actually a better player than you really are and the only thing holding you back is the lag. You need to realize that for the average player, that means the majority of crucible players, removing SBMM would result in basically it being open season on you. Keep in mind that it doesn't just take a beast with a kd of 3.0 to destroy you, even somebody with a 1.5 kd would beat you down in 9/10 gun fights. You would have at the very least one of these guys in every match which would result in a one sided match the majority of the time. You guys aren't going to learn until you get what you want and this game turns into a joke.

What the ghorn was to raids is what America online is to pvp. It's a requirement.
-
4 RepliesOne word, one number. Battlefield 1
-
2 RepliesAnd you're 100% sure that it's the SBMM causing the lag?
-
It's bad but not that consistent. There will always be lag. Even if sbmm is fixed.
-
13 RepliesI would have more respect for you guys if you were just honest and just admit what you really want. You want SBMM to go away so you can pubstomp. Plain and simple. Stop all the over exaggerated claims of lag. It is getting old already.

FINALLY A FRESH NEW IDEA!!!

Edited by DMV Knox: 11/16/2016 7:38:49 PMI haven't played in a couple weeks, spooky trials ruined it for me. And constant red bar. The people with bad internet know it but are still allowed in the crucible, bungie please fix and I may consider playing again.
-
Playing previous multi player games, I always had lag. ALWAYS. I attributed this to my so-so connection. Wasn't that great and I knew it was a significant cause of my issues. However, I've since switched ISP's and got some better internet now; hardwired, ~150Mbps up/down with around a 3-6 ping. Since switching, I haven't has as much lag issues as before. However, in Destiny, PVP is still a mess for me most times. Some games are "normal" however I still get quite a few games with red bar gods, teleporting, god-mode scrubs and the like. Makes no sense. I even have games where the host drags everyone elses connection down and everyone in the lobby is yellow/red bar.

2 RepliesDoes regional, dedicated servers wipe out lag, and cheaters? If so, then this is what Bungie needs If the want to be taken seriously in competitive gaming. Does other games like CoD or Overwatch or any other competitive games have issues like this? I haven't heard any issues like this in those games. Maybe Bungie needs to follow suit.
-
6 RepliesExactly. This shit isn't healthy for me. I don't know why, but for some reason I rage in Destiny FAR easier than in any other game. And the fact that you have people teleporting around the map being invincible isn't helping to stay calm..... God knows why my screen and controller are still working.
-
Mine too. Yesterday I played a match with one of the worst lag I have ever experienced. I had 4 kills 22 deaths lol
-
I agree not only that but you are playing people of similar skill level so it's even harder.
-
I agree man sbmm is abhorrent
-
If you get that serious of a lag on every match you play, then it's on your end not theirs. Hate to burst your bubble.
Actually I don't.
-
This is why I don't usually do PvP
