If you are upset about disconnecting while on a trials card you have got to read this.

Just wanted to point Bungie's attention towards it. Unbelievable.

4 RepliesBungo's boiler plate response:
Hello Destiny community! Due to a recent resurgence in feedback about “DOSing & DDOSing” we wanted to take a minute to explain how and why the “Bungie's Ban Hammer” in Destiny behaves the way that it does… “Bungie's Ban Hammer” is a community-coined term that is being used to describe the frustration of missing the intended cheaters due to a lack of caring on our part. The cheaters aren’t disappearing, we just aren’t doing anything about it . Internally, we would call this specific aspect of our “Bungie Ban Hammer”, “Apathy,” which is one of the core values embedded deep in Bungie's ethics and Destiny PVP itself. When looking at “Bungie's Ban Hammer” archetypes, we wanted players to feel here at Bungie we are actually unable to identify cheaters because of Bungie's “Apathy”and an very convoluted understanding of how Banning work. Players can make the assumption that we care and Bungie will rectify the issue. These types of distinctive behaviors are of course false and are made fun of in interesting choices within Bungie and we delight in glee that no action is taken. In short, “Bungie's Ban Hammer”, with it's relatively short handle and no head, is not intended to be swung at all. Instead we want you to believe that it is big, heavy, packs a large punch and is "swung often". Always remember: Bungie control's narrative and shut's down any dissident voices so we always (as our friend Variks says) “Kill them dead.” We want to very sincerely say that this communique is meant to be argumentative and belittling of the consistent feedback we’ve received on the subject from you, our loyal and paying customers. Regardless of how “correctly” the “Bungie's Ban Hammer ” systems are working, the core message is that we don't care as long as you continue to "Throw money at the screen" (Don't forget to buy from Eververse!). We hear you and want you to believe that Bungie is improving on your experience, even though we're not trying in the very least. While it’s unlikely that we would care at all, we will investigate alternative options to completely ignore the community about any DDOSing, DOSing, or cheating of any kind. Destiny is a game that will continue to devolve well past Destiny2. Please remember this is our 10 year plan. You are wonderful people, the best community, and passionate about this game, unfortunately we just don't care at all to do anything that doesn't involve making you "Throw money at the screen" (Don't forget to buy from Eververse!) . Thank you for paying, and thank you for paying.
And Deej:
Your move...
Cool. The most toxic game mode gets even more toxic. I love it. Maybe Bungie will leave ToO out of D2 now.

1 ReplyBungie gives no shits about this game

When there are idiots around there will always be someone to take their money.

Edited by GTLargo21: 11/9/2016 9:45:31 PMPeople are still not seeing the bigger picture, it seems. Here's things from my point of view... This game is very popular the world over. DoS'ing and DDoS'ing is running rampant in crucible and if it's not being stopped, more and more are going to want to try it. ... the problem is, what if people start trying it outside of the game after learning how to do it? It will cause retaliation in more than a few areas and more than a few ways.
just a what-if scenario that seems more likely since the DDoS on Dyn.
12 RepliesThey should eliminate the lighthouse in my opinion and make ALL the trials rewards from packages. Make them a bit more progressive such as a shaxx bounty. Eliminating the simple "go flawless to get sweet loot" and incorporating actual objectives such as kills and revives and assists and so forth will make dos attackers void. They will have to play..its too hard to attack dos players from bungies end uless they are caught in the act which will rarely happen. Very few bans go out regarding this. I thoroughly enjoy trials and mercury but in the current state its a terribly broken game mode full of cheaters..

30 RepliesHonestly if I saw a post on LFG advertising for a free DDOS carry, I would be very attempted to join him. Simply because I've never been flawless, and Bungie deserves these kinds of people ruining their game because they have COMPLETELY taken the fun out of Crucible.
-
OP will probably get banned before the cheaters will Bungie logic
-
Yeah some squad of...sheep lambs? Like who the hell chooses these names.
-
Saw this cuz of briar rabbit.

You just can't go flawless that's why guys he .sucks

7 RepliesRemove trials out of the game.

You know who is more of a problem? The people who pay for the carries. Suck at trials? Don't play trials or practice. It's that simple. People who pay for a trials carry aren't learning anything and will still suck. I'd bet they're 90% kids.

I would like an invite
Judging by my K/D that'd be the only thing to bring me flawless. Lol. This is a joke btw. I don't actually want an invite, please. Dont
1 ReplyI say why not put them on blast? People that commit and are convicted of crimes is public information. Sex offenders have to register on a site for all to see. Obviously I'm not a fool and realize the difference in the offenses. But maybe if they know their name is out there, they may get tired of seeing that. Just a thought.

14 RepliesEdited by Show me potato salad: 11/8/2016 10:38:27 PMIf Bungie would just remove the dumb tiering system and instead put in a playlist for people who have gone flawless and a playlist who haven't this wouldn't be anywhere near as much of an issue as it is today.
I do not care about going to the lighthouse. I'm saying if they did this, more people wouldn't give a shit enough to the point where they have to cheat. Would it still happen? Yes, but not as often.
3 RepliesI was 8-0 and we got booted to orbit before the game started. Counted my loss and I was so frustrated. I've never been flawless and this just makes it so much worse.

2 RepliesI miss how often Bungie used to use the BanHammer. It was used quite often.

The silver lining in this case is that Bungie allegedly bans everyone on the fireteam. Doesn't work out so well if you had no prior knowledge of network manipulation and thus nothing to do with it.
