I've noticed that the gravity remains the same for whatever planet your on in destiny.
I'm destiny 2 I hope that at least ONE planet has a different gravity for its crucible map, this would massively effect gameplay of every kind on that planet, and add a much needed new dimension to this ailing game.
UPDATE.
Look I knew about the traveller, suit effects etc, just thought for one map it would have been good change. Kind of like in the movie ENDER'S GAME.
so everybody can stay calm and keep their cool it was just an idea. LIKE IF YOU WANT CHANGE.
[quote]FOR IT'S CRUCIBLE MAP.

The gravity is canon. It hasn't been explained what exactly is up with it, but it's supposedly intentional. It's worth noting that within Destiny's universe that physics isn't the only thing governing reality. Darkness and Light are just as powerful and fundamental forces.

2 RepliesWe have grav boots and space suits with unlimited oxygen tanks and guns that dont even fire actual bullets along with venus having heavy rainforest areas and a buried city on mars i'll repeat a buried city on mars(like seriously who's idea was to have a city in the middle of a desert with nothing but sand) robots with actual souls and the ability to infinitely revive while trolling enemies and this is the first thing that bothers you? Honestly it does keep me up at night though. But let me ask you a question, Why are we here?
-
I'd like to see hunter jump w bones boots on the moon. True moon gravity. Rough estimate, you jump basically 6 times higher. Mars is what? About 40% earth gravity? I could just Google..... more fun to guess lol Yea, OP, I'd def like to play with real gravity option. You can turn it off and on, obviously wouldn't want it on all the time

2 RepliesSame as what Zelrojs said. Before the treveler reached earth it went to all the other planets in our soler system and altered their atmosphere to make them inhabitable.
-
You know that ship that's floating about the reef with no gravity that we play crucible matches on? There's no gravity and yet we move around just like everywhere else... Oh that's right, it's because of our space suits 😜
-
2 words. The Traveler.
-
...... No, it would suck. Look up how a pressure cooker world operates. Let our Sci-Fi be Sci-Fi.
-
Are you new here?

Edited by Zelrons: 10/30/2016 9:32:38 PMThe Traveler went around altering other planets' gravity to match Earth's because we don't like things to be different. And also there are side effects to long term exposure to a different gravity level. Mostly though it's for developer convenience because the gravity being inconsistent is more work for physics and balancing.

Edited by Bump: 10/30/2016 9:29:36 PMI played this game 2 years ago and I noticed this as soon as I went to the moon's first mission. I'm surprised you haven't caught on sooner lol

5 RepliesKeep base jump height/length on earth and venus the same, increase it by 10% on mars and 25% on the moon, not sure about the dreadnought though..
-
That would be cool, but in the beginning of the story they do say something about our suits being able to cancel out gravitational forces and hazardous elements.
-
5 RepliesIt's a quality of life thing. The traveler terraformed planets suitable for us. If you cannot swallow that pill. Our armor adjusts to different gravitys. ... Move on guardian.
-
Nah, you have heavy boots.
-
2 RepliesOn the drifter stuff has no gravity but I have gravity. Do I have gravity boots or some such?
-
Can't, handle, my, SPACE MAGIC!
-
Is it the shoes?!
-
12 RepliesThe planets and moons were teraformed by the traveller which is why they have gravity and breathable atmospheres.
-
1 ReplySpace magic.
-
Terraforming m8
-
It ha to do with the armor we wear. Some crucible armor includes flavor text about the "field wave technology" to help guardians maintain control of their gravity
-
1 ReplyWell apparently it was the Traveller that gave us gravity and breathable atmospheres on Mars, Venus and the Moon. Coz, ya know, theres a story in there somewhere....
-
I am not sure, but the fact that there is an atmosphere (the same on every planet because we changed it) should/would/could (lol) change the gravity too. We know we made an atmosphere on the Moon because there is fire
