How do you feel about "Shinobu's Vow" exotic gauntlet? Did skip grenades really need this?

Personally I think it's really frustrating that bungie went ahead and made an exotic for a grenade that really didn't need any improvement whatsoever. Have you ever been in a situation where you're trying to evade a skip grenade in crucible? You'll try and shadestep, blink or simply run away but nothing really works. It's still on your ass and is annoying, right? Well Bungie's solution is to give players an exotic gauntlet that improves the skip grenade and let's you carry an additional charge on top of that. Now before you say to yourself this guy is just bitching, I'm really not, I just think it's funny they went ahead and "improved" upon a grenade that was already broken in the first place. As a player who enjoys playing crucible I can tell you it's not fun going up against skips. I can however understand the tactical advantages of having "improved" double skip grenade charges in PvP, especially in game modes like Trials of Osiris. My only real issue on this would have to be the tracking. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are only two grenades in the game that track, skip and axion, right? However the axion grenades can be countered in various ways and can actually be destroyed. Simply put Bungie should've balanced something instead of making it OP.     If shotgun wouldnt be the go to weapon i would agree but its the same like axion bolt? Titans have good control grenades. I would rather unnerf every damn grenade/perks and buff primary weapons and other specials except high impact shotguns.

  • Axion bolt dose the same thing, why aren't you crying about that and warlocks can get 2 as well, why can't hunters have nice things?

  • Honestly, there wasn't really much choice as to what class you are in crucible. This gives people more of a reason to chose BD.

  • Who cares, it makes the game more fun. Having exotics that aren't simply situational like the vast majority of previous existing exotics is pretty damn great if you ask me.

    • I read one sentence and I can assure you. There is no huge difference. It takes skill to place that thing properly. And even if it is placed properly it only takes down a little bit of your health. It is fine.

      • Blade dance is literally on edge of becoming a useless subclass with all these people complaining about it. It's actually hilarious cause skip grenades were considered useless in year 1

        • Just a reminder skip grenades are the only hunter names that are actually good. The rest are either ok or bad. Warlocks have 1 hit scatters, axioms, titans have lightnings that can instantly bring a group of people down to almost quarter health. Hunters can have 1 good nade, it's not a problem

            Arcbolts were nerfed, Flux Grenades were nerfed, Blink was nerfed, Arc Blade was nerfed, Blink Strike was nerfed, etc. Call me crazy, but I don't think[b] MORE NERFS [/b]will significantly improve the game experience. Let Bladedancers have something decent for a change, especially since they have to sacrifice an exotic slot for it.

            • Bungie Ninja nerfed them when hunters were changed. they reduced tracking time and nerfed the damage. This brings them back to where they were I believe

              • Its an exotic dude, its supposed to make you more powerful, that's the point. Just ask yourself this: Are the improved skip grenades even half as powerful as pre-nerf fire bolts were?

                • Actually Titans have 2 magnetic grenades that will turn corners and hunt you down. Warlocks have 3 grenades 1 attachable that's magnetic and 2 that track with nothing manacles. The only useful grenade left for the hunter was the skip grenade, they were just brought up since the spike grenade nerf, they have to have something good to be on par. I find them more annoying, I have them but rarely play my hunter. They chase but rarely kill if you are running a high armor build so what's the big deal. Most hunters can out jump them anyway, most other classes shrug it off. It only really kills if they are not at full health so I use them as a finishing move. My other characters are killing grenades, not finishers.

                  • You people really hate hunters? Warlocks are allowed two of any grenade they want with there exotic chest piece. Titans are allowed two lightning grenades. It all = out stop trying to get them nerfed.

                    • I think they're just fine. Gives Hunters a tracking grenade like Warlock's bolt grenades....and finally gives Bladedancers a decent PVP handgrenade.

                      • I have no idea what they really do other then give you a second one. I don't really. Notice a damage difference unless the tracking is improved but I don't blindly throw nades so...

                        • I've been trying them out. Considering about half the time the grenades end up as balls of electricity that don't track and just explode where they landed I think they are fine.

                        • I mean they are grenades. They don't one hit. I personally like good grenades in first person shooters. This is the only game I've played where people want grenades to be nerfed . So you want skip grenades basically to land on the ground and do nothing, so you won't get owned by a player that outplayed you. I don't feel sorry for you one bit.

                          • It's fine, I played and did jsut fine against noobs using the shinobis you just avoid corners where you see a red bar on the radar, I'm a titan that runs no exotics, so I don't get no garrison to evade out

                          • They are extremely broken. Most other nades require accuracy, these don't. Tracking nade shouldn't be a thing but if they have to be, make them have to hit the enemy to follow them. Trials was nothing but skip spams. Reward skill and thumbs bungie not cheap laziness. You can't even out skate these things.

I've been able to avoid them pretty well. Knowing Bungie it will probably get nerfed with 75% and never be used again by anyone. It's been a long time since I saw a guardian with Achlyophage Symbiote.

                            • Well there was a nerf for that granade the exotic just ignored it and gives a second charge but I see it as useless because the granade itself cant kill an enemy unlike many others andca second charge just fir that granade is useless because with full discipline youll have a granade each 25 secs and with the exotic boots that realoads it faster while sprint or tarantella chest there is no point on that exotic.
