Light Level Does Not Equal Experience
Today is reset, so expect to see the recruitment section full of lame people requiring "experienced raiders" who must be 380+
For instance I already see a guy who's requiring 385 light and equating that with "raid experience" but has only done Vault of Glass twice. Done Crota once. He doesn't have the Relic of the Aegis grimoire card meaning he's never picked up the relic in VoG. For the veterans here we do not consider those the credentials of an experienced raider, you're just an experienced grinder.
My team did WotM with our friend who was 347 light this past weekend, it was easy for him to hold his own and pick up on mechanics because he's an experienced raider. Only two on our team were 380+.
People like to talk crap on grimoire ("nothing but ghost shells") but when I'm recruiting raiders that's the first thing I look at.
TL;DR it's all in the hips
Happy raiding, and if anybody wants to run WotM if I'm not on with my usual team I'm down, add johnd_oh on PS4

14 RepliesMy only requirement for a raid? Don't be a douche. If it takes us five hours; at least we'll have a good time. I'd rather have five hours of laughs than two or less of listening to people yell at each other.

Everyone that's played for awhile knows how special the lfg community is. It's all about getting the best chance you can to complete it in a timely manner. You do not have to know how to beat VoG and CE to beat this raid. You just have to know how to beat this raid to beat this raid.

Edited by Forever277: 10/11/2016 9:14:28 PMI guess that's all you can garner from grimoire as far as experience goes. the score is pretty meaningless though because it [u]IS[/u] mostly ghosts and fragments,pvp crap and weapon and enemy kills. ......not a whole lot of skill or experience involved in any of those things like, I'm missing about a [b][i][u]100[/u][/i][/b] ghosts and fragments etc, I'll never get them, I totally dgaf, but that's roughly 500 grimoire score I'm missing another 200 or so attached to pvp modes I never play and have no plans to ever play the point is, grimoire doesn't really mean much besides maybe the couple cards you mentioned

I'm not a raid veteran by a long shot, but with only 4 completions of VoG and maybe a few additional attempts - I have the card and don't remember picking up the relic.

5 RepliesThere is no way to check skill in this game (or many really) LL let's me know if you can take and receive damage Grimore gives me an idea of much time/effort you put in My PvP Grimore lacks as I don't play as much Cruicble as PvE, but in PvP I don't care about my K/D either They only way to know skills is to play with them and find out As for people posting that they must have "xxxxx" or "zzzz"...it's their group so their rules IMO

I take the 380 plus groups because most of them know what to do and i have not wiped once in a group like that tbh .

I'm still waiting till my group can find a good time together to go into WotM, meanwhile all my characters are at 380+ (after some switching of weapons). So my experience in that raid is 2 on a scale of 1 to 10, as I have opened the door already with a party of 5, yet my light is high enough to beat it with ease. Doesn't say a thing indeed.

yeah, my light is 376+ and I haven't attempted the WotM yet. and skill is 100× more valuable than light level. it makes me sick seeing the post about "requirements" when the people posting are just saying that so they can be carried. smdh

I absolutely LOVED being the shield bearer in VoG. I don't know why, but it made every raid oh so satisfying.

totally agree. was at aksis phase 2 sunday for 2 hrs and last night for an hour. 375 titan myself and my 2 friends were 369 titan and 369 hunter. sunday almost had him and the damn servers booted us all out and some guys got pissed and left. posted in groups last night. got a 374 382 and 384 hunter yesterday. I was like hell yeah. we finally have a group to do this. nope. nope. nope. couldn't even make dps #2. they were all over the place trying to do everything themselves and not communicating at all. still didn't get to beat it. oh well. on to this week.
