Hey,everyone. I need your help. I pre-ordered Destiny The Collection the week before Rise of Iron releases and this will be the first time I'm gonna be playing this game. Right now I'm having a hard time choosing which class fits perfectly for me. So far,I've been thinking of choosing either Titan or Hunter. I was gonna go for Warlock because they are more agile among the rest and I like the way they shoot Nova Bombs from their hands but they have less armor and I know he isn't the type of guardian I wanna be. What I love about the Titan is that he has heavy armor which he can deal heavy damage and I also like the way he looks. Hunter is also good. I heard they are stealthy assassins because they can turn invisible with the Bladedancer sibclass and I do love being stealthy. They are both good classes but I just don't know which to choose. And btw,I might be playing the game mostly solo because my friends aren't always online when I play Destiny. So I wanna know, which class and subclass should I choose (even if I'm going to play the game mostly solo)? Thanks so much in advance.

TITAN

Warlock because SPACE MAGICKS

4 RepliesHonestly, folks here love to wave their class flag, lol - buy I think I speak for a lot of players when I say that they are all worth playing. You will find yourself naturally playing more with different types at different times. Year one I was all about striker Titan (but I hate running Sunbreaker). Year two I was hardcore Voidwalker (but barely ever use Sunsinger). This year I started a new Hunter and I'm all about Gunslinger (haven't even bothered with bladedancer).

3 RepliesTo be honest, start with the one whose in game description at the select screen appeals to you the most. Then when you get to lvl 15 make one of the other 2 classes as well. Then play them all and make your decision. People have start as one and end up maining another all the time. Sometimes your first choice turns out to be your favorite (like me. Voidwalker for life.)

Edited by Technohydra: 10/10/2016 7:09:10 PMI guess it depends. If you are a speed and precise mobility person, always like to be able to make pin-point jumps and maneuver out of nasty situations quickly, I'd say go for Hunter. If you like being able to take a little more damage, while maintaining powerful (but less accurate) movement abilities, Titan is for you. And if you like the approach of high ability damage and support roles, good mob clearing abilities, and some added armor, but less mobility then warlock is a great choice. Hunters are the trickiest to master, but provide the most advantage if you learn them, titans are the most requested classes in raids, and warlocks have some insane support and DPS abilities. I personally always knew I'd start and likely main a hunter, because speed and mobility are more important to me than brute strength or crazy abilities. Ran one for about a year, and then decided it was time to give Titan a try. All in all, I've enjoyed it, even if it was a bit of an adjustment. Warlock and I have difficulties because of the jumping abilities, but I do have one I'm trying to pull into the rotation as well. Bottom line, make one of each, and try to play them evenly for a while. That way you know them all, even if you do develop a favorite.

Make a warlock so you don't have to spend an hour finding one for the outbreak prime lol We only had one warlock when we did it so me and two buddies got it right away but the other half of our team was searching for a lock forever lol

Edited by AustinSX: 10/10/2016 6:23:18 PMIt honestly barely makes a difference If you're on ps4 add me, I'm always trying to expand my friend roster

Day one player here who chose an awoken warlock as my first guardian.i. absolutely fell in love with the way she looked.(made her look exactly like mystic from x men) once I unlocked self res I never worried about dying again. It's super useful in raids, and especially trials of Osiris. Not to mention the ability to literally become a sith Lord and shoot lightning from your fingertips! I have 3 guardians now, all with different and unique abilities, but my favorite will always be warlock

Here's a simple explanation of the three classes. Warlock: by far the easiest class to use. Greatest melee range, best PvP super, and most reliable abilities. Hunter: a bit more difficult to use. The Nightstalker is an excellent support subclass especially in raids. The bladedancer invisibility also comes in handy from time to time. Titan: what I would consider the trickiest class to use. Shortest melee range, kinda useful abilities, and you'll be using defender for most end game activities. The hammer of sol and striker look pretty bad ass though

Outside of the Vault of Glass no one asks "how many warlocks do we have?" Same with hunters. I have all 3 but Titan is the most useful
-
I've start with a titan, actually 3 titans (long story), now i rock every single class. If you dont have a lot of friends and will rely on LFG for endgame content, i would say titan is the best (becuase its actually the "most Needed" class for endgame content). But if you have a shitload of frineds any class you'll do. And, although i love my titan, i would say the warlock is the best all around class. And if you're really into pvp, i would say go with hunter.

Alpaca, Choose the Alpaca Best Class NA

Titan too good
-
5 RepliesTitan is fastest most armored most agile and has a lot of recovery Also one of the best classes for raid and other end game activities Hunter is good to for pve Warlock isn't that good in pve except probably solo cause they have 2 lives
-
There is no such thing as "stealthy" in this game. Not for the PvE. Titans have the most armor and are good in a fight. If you played halo, they feel like that. Hunters, are very fast, very mobile, and very strong, but don't have a lot of health or armor. Classic glass cannon. Warlocks are the middle man. Decent armor, decent speed, the jump is great. I personally run all 3, but I Main warlock. I've been playing it since day 1. Welcome to destiny :D

Titans
-
If I had to pick 1 class it would be Titan, bubble Titan is almost easy mode for pve and sunbreaker can easily hold its own in pvp
-
Speaking from a current standpoint. Titans and hunters are most useful in the raid. Warlock is left in the dust at the moment. I feel like hunter is the squishiest, titans are pretty stable.
-
Base it on your play style hunters are fairly agile and rather quick titan make great run and guns but can also be built towards mobility( twilight garrison) and warlords Play a good middle ground plus space magic
-
Titan is stupid op at everything
-
If you are more of a solo player, it still depends on what part of the game you are most likely to focus on. If it's PVP, I would say the Hunter would be the best choice. If you are more of a PVE player, go with the titan (or warlock). Then branch out into the other character classes.
-
Make 1 of each and each one needs to be a difference race (this way you get all the grimoire). You really want to do either a warlock or a titan first, warlock first because as your leveling up and playing the story, strikes, and eventually raids your self revive (though it's a terrible habit to rely on self revive) will save you from wipes and starting shit over and a whole bunch of frustration. Titans are a good choice because defenders are loved by raid groups and strikers are incredibly good at PVP. Hunters are fun too but may require a little more skill (they die easier in PVE). Then again, it doesn't really matter. I'd just suggest getting one to level 40 asap and starting your next one. Once you get all three to level 40 you'll have a taste to how each one plays and the ability to choose how you want to play that day.
-
3 RepliesIf you're still looking for advice, play a Titan. Get yourself to level 40, do the quests, get good at playing Titan, then YouTube search 'how to Titan skate' and then practice getting good at that. Titans can achieve greater raw speed that any other class, but they have the worst melee range. Alternatively, play hunter. Hunters have the most raw agility and can out maneuver other classes in close quarters. They're really easy to get good at as their jump ability is the easiest to get used to. Also all three subclasses are highly viable right now. Or go for a warlock if you want to play more defensively and counter people who don't disregard their primary in favor of a shotgun. Their jump is garbage in comparison to Titans, but can provide a much longer hang time mid-air that can be very useful in baiting doorways. They have the best melee range.

Hunter

To be honest, the classes don't fit the image that you'd assume from the descriptions. Hunters aren't really "stealthy" aside from crappy invisibility that you're still visible, titans max armor doesn't do that much aside from surviving a flux grenade, and warlocks seem like space mages but they're gimmicky but versatile. It really just comes down to what seems fun to you.

Hunter. Gunslinger Hunter. Do it now and don't look back!
