So since rise of iron dropped we have gotten steadily increasing numbers of the new iron guns and their... unorthodox style of Viking steampunk .
Not that I have a problem with them it's just a minor flaw happens when you look at the end of them...
That's right, most or all have blades on the end , but again I have no issues with this look.
What is my beef you ask , well what do you do with a blade ?
If you answered stab , slice, dismember , or disembowel etc... you are all right .
But riddle me this , can you do that in this game?
Answer; F U C K no you cannot!!!
By God Bungie why put blades on a gun if you can not use the blade , it started as a minor gripe with Monte Carlo, but I gradually got over it but now I'm pissed all over again.
I mean really, was it that hard to program in a few melee animations into the game?

Suk deez nutz -blam!-!!!
-
I would think by adding gore it would increase the age limit to buy the game ..... less cheese ya see.... but you know parents these days ,
-
Dude calm down. It's too late in the games life to implement new melee animations and the blades are just meant for show.
-
1 ReplyIt looks cool. We're not exactly fighting WW1/WW2 Bayonet charge style battles.
-
That would be so great!
-
4 RepliesJust add an intrinsic perk called"bayonet " that does: When you melee with this weapon equipped, gain a slight boost to range and damage from your melee. Knife on gun is used instead of fist
-
I don't know if I call it insanity, but I agree with you. If they're going to make IB weapons that vicious-looking, you should be able to do vicious things with them. Our enemies clearly have a lot of guts to be messing with us. Let's see what they look like.
-
Monte Carlo was the original sword
-
I keep figuring they should work a perk in with certain weapons or armor where they would do extra melee damage then.
-
I've been saying that since year one. Red Death was my first bought from Xur the first time he sold it. Ever since then I couldn't understand why.
-
Nothing new on Bungie's end. Think Monte Carlo, Red Death and Red Spectre.
-
I hear you. Reminds me of Borderlands 2...wish they'd come out with a new Borderlands, not another pre-sequel. Lol.
-
2 RepliesThis was what made me sad about Monte Carlo year 1...

Edited by Practical-4: 10/6/2016 6:02:35 AMThey're for removing stones from your sparrows intake.
-
Lol they can't even keep their game running
-
Yeah, throw a little "Gears" action to make it better. Bump
-
Agreed, I've had an issue with this from the moment I got Red Spectre.
-
I mentioned this to my fireteam doing IB early today, I hate the way these guns look. I get that they're supposed to be "centuries old" like the Iron Lords are but cmonnnnn they look turrible
-
5 RepliesI was just thinking the same thing earlier, you should be able to use the bayonet on your weapon as a melee. That would be great!!!
-
Edited by P3rfectEnemy: 10/6/2016 2:05:34 AMMelee bayonets might actually make Titan melee viable.
-
Can't be that hard, borderlands 1 was doing it years ago
-
Borderlands style. Melee= Stab.
-
And you know red death
-
Add the halo reach assassinations animations for behind the back stabs make it use a melee charge. Its would be amazing
-
Gun blades don't cross map melee like my gun slinger. And why use a old blade over space magic melee or a flying knee.
-
The archons forge sniper could fit a couple guardians on its blade... Season to taste and boom guardian kabobs
