Doom, overwatch, recore, deus ex, dark souls 3, uncharted 4, etc already. gears 4, dishonored 2, battlefield 1, and more to be released still this year. And the early 2017 lineup is looking amazing compared to usual (halo wars 2, sea of thieves, scalebound to name a few). Its no 2007 but it's been pretty good.

Overwatch, Dark Souls III, DOOM, Uncharted 4 and Forza Horizon 3 have all been huge hits. And Pokemon Sun and Moon is incredibly hype thus far. Halo 5 updates have been simply fantastic as well. I'd say this has been an awesome year for gaming.

I mean, if you like shooters and RPGs it's probably been rather good If you have a diverse taste in video games you might just want to stay with last gen

I concur. I've cut my gaming down quite a bit since the newer games seem lackluster to me. The last two games I've played were Zelda OoT and Left 4 Dead 2. I guess I'm just gonna be one of those old guys that talk about how much old video games were better than today's games. *sigh*

I feel like the PS3/Xbox360 era was and will be the peak of gaming. The new gen is still young though, but this is how I'm feeling.

Q1-Q3 definitely. DOOM, Forza Horizon 3, and Ratchet and Clank are the only memorable games for me.

Doom and Pocket Monsters have been the only thing I've enjoyed or will be enjoying this year. BF1 looks decent.

Yeah. There's just no quality. The only game I REALLY enjoyed playing was Dark Souls 3(and very occassionally Destiny) I think I am going to question myself the next time I want to buy a game. Like, is it really gonna be that great?

A lot of major releases are getting ready to come out soon. Not much so far in 2016 has interested me but there are several coming that I'm looking forward to. Gears 4, pokemon, and final fantasy 15 all look good
