Just did Atheon with all 335s...
They didn't know you have to keep the shield up in the middle
They couldn't kill the oracles fast enough
They couldn't clear the supplicants
They didn't know to stay together when shooting oracles
4 out of the 5 didn't know how to use the relic at all
Are there even any vanilla players left?
Edit: yes I did teach them what to do, that's how we beat it eventually. The point of this post was because I was shocked you could be max light level and not know how to do a lvl 30 raid
If anyone wants to do the old raids feel free to add me on Xbox1
EDIT: Since everyone wants to say there's no reason at all to do the old raids, tell me this then. Why do I see so many people complaining about "lack of content" when they are completely ignoring TWO raids?

I did vog a few weeks ago, after I found mates who were in need of one or two players. The feeling when atheon was down was just pure ecstacy, nothing in Destiny was so much fun, before. [spoiler]we ran with our 310+ swords through the gorgon maze killing all the gorgons we could find LOL[/spoiler]

So many players come around xmas and TTK so barely anybody knows how to do vog anymore. They run over you in crucible but don't even know how to shoot a glowing yellow thing.

Weird. It's almost like some people didn't come in until after TTK. Hell, just post vanilla.

I'm on the ps4, been playing since year one. My main character can hit 335. I've never raided. I figured it would take too long. Putting a team together seems like a hassle. Joining a team is hard for me to do considering everyone seems to have requirements of having a certain weapon or wanting to rush through. Would i like to raid? Yes. Will i ever raid? Probably not. Only reason my character hit 335 was grinding iron banner. Before the court of orxy and rep packages would drop decent loot. Sure would've been nice to have another way to climb the light ladder back in the crota and how days.

Edit: Holy shit, some people will defend this game to death. My point was that old content is useless if you're trying to progress. If you're max then sure, play Y1 content, whatever, its there and you paid for it.

And it's the worst because you'll say " have experience" and they'll give the excuse that it's been a "long" time since they did the raid. And when you want to do crota, your the only one who understands the gatekeeper mechanics and glitches, and people swear they're good at sword bearing even though they don't communicate and don't know when the sword ends, so in hard, they go overkill and enrage him. >:(
