When the rise of iron patch dropped I didn't know anything about it nor did I know that they messed up snipers I originally found this out when I head shotted a blade dancer and they didn't die at first I thought it was a error but I went into a private match and did further testing and discovered that snipers did in fact get -blam!-ed up one of the most reliable guns in the game just gets -blam!-ed they did this to hand cannons scout rifles shotguns fusion rifles etc. with the new nerfs when a super gets popped you have one three options you either run like hell fight it and most likely die or some how manage to kill it before it kills you along with this they even buffed roaming supers (blade dancer, storm caller, and sun breaker etc.) putting those good snipers at even more of a disadvantage than they already were in the end bungie some how for some reason managed to -blam!- up another gun type in the end what does all of this mean it means that bungie doesn't seem to think about the effects that these nerfs and buffs have on the game

2 RepliesIf a guardian can take an axe to the face from Alakhul and a arc mortar blast from the second shield brother, then why cant they take more than one bullet to the the skull from a sniper?

1 ReplySupers are not hard to shutdown without sniping.

shotguns cant 1 shot a super fusions cant reliably one shot a super sidearms cant one shot a super a rocket, yes a rocket cant reliably one shot a super yup seems like snipers are in line now. now as random as this seems supers actually counter supers and team shooting shuts down supers. seems pretty balanced to me.

7 RepliesEdited by CitrusTheNile: 9/16/2016 2:45:18 PMUnfortunately for you, you don't appreciate the creativity of each guardians super ability. For example, Bungie could have been way more creative and made weapon type interactions such as arch is weak to arch, void is weak against void, and solar is weak against solar. Continuing with the example a Warlock in their sun singer would soften any incoming bullets that are not solar based damage due to the immense amount of sunlight being radiated from their bodies (intrinsic perk is increased armor against all types except solar). Now arguing for realism in a fantasy space game is also a mistake. The idea that a sniper should always "one shot head shot" is obviously a mistake as explained by the aforementioned example. The flip side of the realism argument is that shotguns should be able to kill players from 100 feet away instead of having to shoot pixy dust on them at punching range. Supers are meant to be challenging. A single sniper shot should not equate a super that takes time and effort to build up when you can simple find or wait for an ammo create to have multiple super ending shots. Welcome to the old days when a blade dancer would pop their super and you run like hell. Supers should be scary, especially the roaming ones.
