Post If You're Getting Junk Loot After The Update
Post here if you're getting stuff like tons of green engrams, lower than level 40 loot, and legendary engrams decoding at like 260, all after the update from today.

1 ReplyDitto in the green and blue engrams. But did everyone have every single piece of gear and armor marked as upgraded including abilities. What a pain to clear.

2 RepliesSince the update Over the course of 10 raids I must have popped around 40 3oc. The best I've got is a 322 light chest piece. I get that the game engine may consider us a lower level now the update had landed but how do they expect people that aren't max light to get to max light when they aren't dropping higher levels??

After? I'm always getting junk. Now there's just more of it. Which means more armor materials and weapon parts for me.

This latest update is more of a downgrade than anything. Not happy Bungie get it sorted

Bungie wants to give people a chance to get weapon parts and armor materials for the update. Yes, banshee is selling them but not everyone has that much glimmer.

Right here. Nothing but green engrams since the update. The few rare and legendaries I've received were very low light, as well.

Initially hated it but now, still hate it, but getting lots of armor materials/glimmer/weapon parts out of it. Legendaries have been decrypting pretty close to my light level. Did get a couple exotics that dropped at 300 LL. Also got 337 Hunter boots which was nice. My issue recently has been the piss poor drop rate for exotic engrams. I want the Trespasser and been grinding for a special exotic engram.I know they nerfed them a bit in the update but I've played like 25-30 strikes in the past couple days and not one exotic engram has dropped for me. Is this "normal" now or should I be using 3oC elsewhere? Also got like 4 ships from rank up packages too which was nice

It seems to me that the green engrams are dropping after the update since (as several have already said) it currently already considers us as not completing the main story yet now that the update was released as preparation for RoI launch. With TTK, greens dropped until finishing Regicide so once we finish new set of story missions wouldn't they go away again? My thoughts on why the blue and purples are decrypting so low is that it is viewing our current light levels as a bit lower than what the 385/400 level RoI max will increase to. As a result what goes into the decrypting of engrams sees us as that bit below what new max will be, but applies that difference to 335 so that we are not decrypting above 335 yet for most options. To me, this makes sense as to why a lot are reporting items in the 240-270 range and I would expect that changes and things return to normal when RoI is available next week.

4 RepliesI've been getting sooooo many greens & my legendary engrams are never above 260 now. I'm afraid to decrypt exotic engrams and end up with 300 LL exotics. I took a break from destiny, but when I came back I went from 313 to 332 in a week and a half. With this update I'll be surprised if I get to 335.

Did all my shaxx bounties for the week and got a 300 light hawkmoon ? I've been 335 light forever. Hopefully it's fixed in another patch soon.

YesI am getting a crap ton of green stuff but what worries me more is imo they nerfed the drop rate of exotic engrams in pve. Since the April update I have burned thru well over 1k 3oC and have gotten a ton of exotic engrams in my pursut of the zen meteor(which I still haven't gotten). After the update on Thursday I have gone thru aprox 100 3oC(80ish in pve and approx. 15-20 in pvp) Since Friday when I started playing after the update I looted 4 exotic engrams in pve. In a 3 hour time span on Sunday I looted 5 exotic engrams from pvp activities. Either the rng hates me with a passion or the loot system in this game is seriously weighted towards pvp.

8 RepliesIt is because for Rise of Iron they give you green engrams for starter weapons and armor for the next step up. Like they did with TTK.
