I found the problem to Vex Mythoclast accuracy. This is unbelievable.
So by the stats, this weapon should be atleast be very good at average medium range, and with the recent stability buff that it received it should be somewhat accurate, right?
NOT.
** This was tested by aiming in the sky, which removes all recoil.(See video)**

You guys were wondering why some bullets werent registering? Well heres why, this gun is terribly inaccurate. And this is without any recoil.
This gun accuracy is so broken, even firing at semi-automatic is never a guaranteed accurate shot!

Heres another one thats even worst.

Now add the terrible recoil that the weapon has, this gun is just.... the biggest joke ever.
I just dont get how this gun is completely ignored. Its one the most unique, good looking, and awsome weapon there is in Destiny, yet it keep getting pooped on and no one gives a damn about it.
Bungie, stop ignoring this gun, and give it the fixes it deserves.

8 RepliesEdited by Erijian: 8/31/2016 4:37:48 AMA lot of people seem to have the wrong ideas about the Vex Mythoclast these days. Maybe it's just Year 2 players, maybe it's people with PTSD from how good it used to be..But they seem to think it's either going to be overpowered or underpowered, and prefer it to be the latter. I kid you not, there were points where the gun was competitive but not dominant in PvP. Let's take a trip down memory lane, shall we? IT'LL BE A LONG ONE.
Vex Mythoclast Base Damage decreased by 34% Increased Precision Damage multiplier from 1.25 -> 1.50 (headshot bonus)
Immediately players realized Bungie had overnerfed the Vex Mythoclast, whether it was intentional or unintentional who knows. The damage nerf ended up being around 50% which crippled the weapon.
Vex Mythoclast Attack Power increased to 323 (from 300) Base Damage increased, fixing bug we introduced in previous patch Enhanced Battery upgrade by Extended Mag (this change still allows for a significant upgrade to Magazine Size, but less than before)
THIS was the most balanced version of the Vex we ever had. It was consistent, and regained a respectable time to kill alongside a modest magazine size.
Fusion Rifles Widened blast pattern on a Fusion Rifle burst cone Reduced starting ammunition in PVP
Consistency issues start to plague the Vex Mythoclast at those medium ranges. It was still a good weapon, just not as crispy as it was before.
Weapons Fixed an issue in which Vex Mythoclast was not respawning with primary ammunition
AKA: You can use the Vex Mythoclast again and not feel like a jackass.
Fusion Rifles Fusion Rifles now no longer get more accurate with each projectile fired Fusion Rifles that are slow charging, high impact now have a slightly lower base Range value, making it harder to max out range for these weapons Accuracy increased for low range Fusion Rifles; Accuracy reduced for high range Fusion Rifles Max Fusion Rifle projectile speed decreased slightly Damage done against AI combatants increased by 15% Vex Mythoclast Projectile Speed increased to compensate for global Fusion Rifle changes Stability increased to compensate for global Fusion Rifle changes Year One Perks Aggressive Ballistics: Reduced damage bonus by 50%. Increased stability and range penalties by 100% Extended Mag: Reduced magazine bonus by 33% Linear Compensator: Reduced damage bonus by 50% Send It: Reduced by range bonus 40%. Inventory and equip penalties added Smart Drift Control: Reduced stability bonus by 40%. Reduced range penalty by 33%
Times start getting rough for Mythoclast users. The first change that effected accuracy for each projectile fired really hurt the Vex, since it fired one bolt at a time. The Vex Mythoclast was technically a high-range Fusion Rifle, so it got two accuracy nerfs in one. The projectile speed nerf wasn't quite offset by the buff, and the blanket stability buff was..Pretty underwhelming since it lost ACCURACY. Hell, the stability buff was better suited for offsetting the nerfs to Aggressive Ballistics and Smart Drift Control..Anyway; Extended Mag becomes mediocre at this point giving you a whopping seven extra shots.
Fusion Rifles Increased Charge Speed on fast charging Fusion Rifles. Reduce burst damage to compensate Fusion rifles behave more predictably based on player state Reduced Hip Fire Stability for all fusions Increased ADS and Crouched Stability for all fusions Reduction in carried inventory for all fusion rifles 10% increase to PvE damage bonus to offset
Oh boy, a blanket nerf to Fusion Rifles with no compensation buff for the Vex Mythoclast. How can I describe this one..Well, this version pretty much forced you into Smart Drift Control just to have any form of controllable recoil, and even then it wasn't consistent enough for use outside of close range. Also, that reserve ammo nerf made using it frustrating as you ran out of ammo rather often..Especially with Send It.
Fusion Rifles Increased Stability base stat (40% recoil reduction); this means that lower stability Fusion Rifles will get affected more than higher stability rifles Fixed bug where some outlying fusion rifle scopes had unintended increased zoom that was removed in Year Two. Vex Mythoclast Reduced Damage base stat to compensate for improved Stability (by -13%)
Hooray, the Vex Mythoclast is going to be less mediocre with the stability buff! Especially for those who prefer to use Linear Compe-..Wait, a damage nerf? Why Bungie? You seemed OK with the Vex Mythoclast's damage before, but now this teensy stability buff to try to offset the previous nerf warrants a damage nerf? Well then, the damage values are about as good as when you guys "accidentally" overnerfed it back in October..And now it has all of these other issues from blanket nerfs..Yeah, the worst iteration of it yet for sure. We now have an auto rifle that has built-in inaccuracy like HandCannons, projectile travel time, and a time to kill that's best compared to the Doctrine of Passing..Which doesn't have any of the issues the Vex has. There's no point in using it anymore other than for kicks and giggles, or for trying to give yourself a challenge in the Crucible. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ rip in peace vex

Edited by Ace_Eyed_Ace: 8/31/2016 6:48:24 PMWhilst I'd love the vex to be buffed, I actually think it would be better if Bungie made alternative year 3.0 versions of the vex Mythoclast. Imagine if the Vanguard had found a way to utilise the vex Mythoclast technology, thus creating prototype variants of primary fusion rifles - all they would have in common is the Timeless Mythoclast perk. Each one could have a random set of perks, even possibly finding the Vex Mythoclast roll... Like the Imago loop for example.

40 RepliesFor everyone saying how OP Vex was and it shouldn't be fixed... No one is saying, bring back God status for the dang thing. Bring it back up to the specs it was at right after the FIRST nerf. No one even really gets what OP means anymore... everyone sees 'buff' and automatically think 'OP'. It's sad... I'm mean, c'mon, you can't nerf a gun 5 times and expect it to still be usable. Same thing with the Thorn. No one really cares how the gun handles or how they rework it or what the stats really are or even the fact there's a literal artifact coming around to negate DoT. Yet, somehow, everyone is sooooo scared and nervous and blah blah blah. And I'm certain if they brought back Low RoF Pulse Rifles back to the potential to two burst kill, perfect precision hits status, some people would be yelling OP left and right. If that's so bad, then why do people not complain about the fact that any decent impact hand cannon with lucky round can kill with two precision shots? For geez sake, now Shoulder charge is being attacked by nerf posts and so are lightning grenades. They have been absolutely fine for two years and now everyone notices them. And if no one noticed the Encore perk for the Arcblade works nothing like it used to. So little super regen... it's only good for the damage now. "Annoyances" do not justify a nerf. If they did then we wouldn't even have the Taken. They're the definition of annoying.

2 RepliesAhh yes the vex mythoclas it has the fastest charge rate in the... Oh hey there plan c didn't see you there. Oh that's your spot? My mistake Alright it has the ability to go full auto.. Pocket infinity where you been hiding bro?? Take your seat It's the hardest hitting fusion rifle in the game.. Sleep simulant I see you back there big guy take your place here Alright it's the only fusion rifle in the game that can be a primary weapon. *looks around* alright that's where you belong. Unfortunately the only way to get you is by playing an outdated raid and rng luck so we're gonna have to leave you outside. But hey just remember that you're the only "auto rifle" that shoots that fast and has that bad of recoil shut the door behind you and oh send doctrine of passing in he's taking that auto rifle place by the way.
i just came here for the salt this is going to bring :)
2 RepliesCURRENT Vex is bad. PRE NERF Vex was godly. How are people having trouble understanding this?! -_-

3 RepliesThis was the greatest gun in the game. At one time it was both a pve, and pvp murder machine. This is one of the top two reasons i have left the game constantly. #1 the grind. #2 building an arsenal based on your own strategy to have it destroyed. My play time in destiny was 90% year 1 10% year 2. Theres a cool website that shows your heat map of playing time. https://secret-scrubland-31430.herokuapp.com/2/Slimdeathstar/

Man I dunno i was doing pretty good with it yest in crucible. Thing hits like a truck.

29 RepliesThe vex was soooo freaking good in its glory. I don't feel it was OP. It was just hard to get so few people had it. So the nerf cry babies took to the forums. Instead of grinding countless VOG raids like the reat of us.

So...nerf fusion rifles?
-
3 RepliesSo here in this forum we have a side to where people think vex needs attention and another side that thinks vex doesn't need attention. The truth is both sides are right, reason being is that for one the left side(the side that believes vex needs attention) is right because , as of right now vex does have some serious problems and some of those problems do need need to be fixed, vex is not working due to some fixes on fusion rifles, which technically did damage its reputation. The right side(The side that doesn't believe vex needs attention) is right because it is true that back in year 1, vex. would dominate the crucible on one mag, which in truth is actually rediculous, another reason to why I can see so many complaints during that time about it. Think about it, the guns right now dosen't go through a 20-30 killstreak in one mag like the vex normally would. So both sides have an equal say in this argument. and whether or not you like what I say or believe it, I speak the truth.

220 RepliesEdited by XxGodIsBlackXx: 8/29/2016 2:43:18 AMWhy would Bungie waste their time on a year 1 gun? You year 1 players need to let the past go man. Really. Edit: LMAO!!! You guys are really angry. If you love year 1 so much, don't buy future expansions & just stay there.

Just make my shots go where I'm aiming pls. It's like HandCannons all over again.

Edited by QUANTUM-CHUNGUS: 8/30/2016 5:12:39 PMWas my go to Year 1 Trials weapon. Near untouchable at mid-range and in the right scenario was monstrous with Crowd Control. It's pretty mediocre these days which is a damn shame considering it's the most unique and well designed weapon in the game.

80% of the bullets disappear

25 RepliesThe gun has the firing pattern of a fusion rifle just tighter. thats why its a fusion rifle

2 RepliesIn the second week of trials of Osiris (the map was pantheon) I used it on all 3 characters to go flawless. I melted everything, it was my favorite gun in the game with 4000 kills (I got it in January 2015) but suddenly a patch came after trials which affected all fusion ( a patch from February were fusions got their first nerf wasn't working that well so that patch came) I was soooo broken and garbage and inaccurate... I hate that gun and only use it for challenges in pvp cuz it is a joke! the vex had pre nerf 52 bullets, after nerf 35 and with every nerf to normal fusion rifles the ammo goes worser and worser... Now it has 21 bullets in the magazine, is inaccurate with the house of wolves patch and ttk patch for FUSION RIFLES NOT ONLY VEX.. And I think the damage got nerfed for year 2 :/ every time they nerf fusion rifles the vex will be worser... I use it every time after a fusion rifle nerf and every time I see it is nerfed again. (Stability for fusion got nerfed [vex was nerfed], ammunition for fusions got nerfed [vex got nerfed] every time!!!)
