Primaries are useless
Nobody uses them anymore the only primaries people use anymore are 1. TLW and 2. UR and that isn't even a primary and 3. MIDA. It's just pathetic how shit primary weapons really are. They are practically useless. Ask the forums what to do about a shotgunner coming straight for you. Everyone just says use a fusion literally primaries have such a long time to kill that you will either trade or die from that little bitch shotgunner. Snipers literally every door I go around has one camping it, and this isn't a problem??? Seriously wtf. This IB you'd be lying if you said you didn't seen at least 5 shotgun rushers per game. I really wish we could go back to HOW days when primaries actually did something.

I didn't mean to seem like a rant but primaries kill times are to slow compared to God roll shotguns and snipers with no flinch, and how people tell me to use 1 out of maybe 30 weapons they list, but every weapon and arch type should be good. Like grim citizen that arch type needs some work done to it. If your precise enough to land all head shots at mid to long range the shotty rusher will kill you. Oh and I'm on Xbox so telling me to use The Jade Rabbit isn't possible lmao.

4 RepliesThat's not an ENTIRELY true statement. I was killed more by Hawksaw and GoM playing IB than everything else combined. I myself used Hawksaw and Hawkmoon/Haakon's Hatchet for the entirety of IB with an exception being UR on Twilight Gap.

As s matter of fact the guy who killed me the most used guess what a shotgun. Im just your average pvp mostly pve player but i get it gets frustrating to see the same weapons and secondaries used.

1 ReplyCurrently the design philosophy at Bungie in terms of primary weapon time to kill is based on team firing. As most people do not run in fireteams when playing a crucible match, this makes secondary weapons way more powerful, because hardly anyone loads up a casual game of control in order to go sweaty doing callouts and team shotting everything. But that's how Bungie is currently tuning weapons.

24 RepliesThe aim assist on snipers should be lowered, absolutely. Shotguns shouldn't have any range perks besides the middle column and should only KILL from practically point blank range, so it would take a melee from anywhere just outside that range to finish the Guardian off. Sidearms are in a great spot right now.

Boi, eyasluna with luck chamber is the perfect combat to shotgun rushers. If your on a hunter with bones I juke half of them out most of the time. Not hard to find a good non meta primary and use it tbh

I use suros (the exotic) or at least try along with my range finder/hip fire queens fusion. I have no issues on the fusion. But the suros just feels like shit. The hakkons hatchet is a better choice because it kills faster. And the focused fire isn't worth it anymore not when it adds about 10 damage to the head. That may seem good but considering how fast spin up fires it pointless. The suros needs a bit of a buff imo. I force myself to use it as much as possible because i love it but when your going against the tide you end up getting tired and ride it. I miss Y1 and Y1 AR before nerf and Y1 suros before its nerf and after because it was still good. Also just like the red spectre its impact feels like a lie, the only time i get a kill is if i land all shots on the head, have help from team or shoot before them. A fair 1v1 gun fight? Probably not since the meta user like pretty everyone i run into. Basically buff suros damage to make it feel like its worse using an exotic slot for it since the hakkons can easily do better. Or at least mine can.

Primaries taking longer to kill is kinda the whole point. They're typically the slowest killers but they have the most ammo and are always avaliable. Specials are harder hitters that kill more quickly, but they aren't always avaliable to use (or rather they shouldn't be). And of course, heavies are the fastest killers, but they're the least avaliable.
