I was under the impression that when I bought Destiny for the xbox 360 that I was purchasing the right to play Destiny and purchase all its DLC. Now it has become apparent that Bungie will only allow you to play rise of iron by purchasing the game a second time for a new console. Since in my case I will be moving from the xbox to PlayStation, I would also lose all DLC I purchased for the 360. Begging the question, why the eff would I purchase all that, all over again, to play Destiny's final expansion. Bad form on Bungies part. Not only hav eyou killed off my desire to play Destiny, your greed will make me deeply question any future purchase of bungie games. I will have to stop first and ask myself "Am I actually buying this game, or are they only selling my half of a half finished game, only to try and sell me the other half later"... Shameful. Also, Destiny's dialogue and story are for babies.

Edited by WHISKEYJ0HNNY0: 8/17/2016 8:01:21 PMI'm totally with you! I have a Sega Dreamcast and I've been waiting for Destiny to release on it forever!! It's such poopy!

Sorry you don't know how consumerism works, buddy. You bought it for 360, you own it for 360. You have what you paid for.
-
Neat! You have an opinion. Yay!

Edited by Sike: 8/17/2016 7:41:15 PMThink of buying the PS4 edition as a remastered edition 😞. But I get what ur saying

You're upset because you have to buy destiny for a completely new console, from a different company, that is a different machine??? So like, would you still complain if you wanted to move from xbox to ps4? It'd be the same thing....that's like being upset a windows program doesn't work on OSX. I don't think you are being serious with this post, no way this is serious. Right? This is a joke post right?
-
Bad form on you for making this thread.
-
3 RepliesThats like saying you bought skyrim on Ps4 but you want to switch over to xbox and expect to be given the xbox version for free.
-
No, you pay an extra $10 for the game + new expansion. When Destiny launched, players who were upgrading could upgrade to the new version for $10/£10 instead of buying it new outright. Incidentally, that was the price difference between current and last gen versions of the game. You arent buying it twice, you arent paying more. You are paying what everyone else on current gen paid. Sit down you entitled -blam!-wad.
-
I bought it for ps3 two years ago and upgraded in december 2014 for free. Your own damn fault.
-
Hmmm. So it seems you don't get how this works. Nothing anyone says on your thread is going to change your mind. Good luck with the real world.

Edited by Haydini: 8/17/2016 7:27:44 PMThis was destined to happen they were going to make you upgrade sometime they just decided now would be a good time
pun?
1 ReplyIf the story and dialogue are for babies then why are you so upset? Go play "an adult game"

Wow, you can't be serious, Bungie is robbing us blind, they are making people do things! We have been brainwashed people! They are making us buy stuff from them! See how ridiculous that sounds? I remember when I bought my xbox one, I had to buy bf4 all over again. This is the way it works, you buy it for the system your playing on. You switch systems, guess what...you have to buy it again.
-
I have to disagree with this post. For all games switching console means having to buy a new version of that game for that console. I can't use my The Last Of Us PS3 disc with my PS4. I also cant play any Halo on my PS4. So of course with Destiny moving from legacy to current gen means having to rebuy everything. This is how this industry works. More so if youre switching console brand. I don't see what youre problem with this is. Also, Destiny has great lore. Read it, it's a good read.

3 RepliesThen maybe next time you should read the license agreement and understand exactly what you're buying.
-
your first sentence is where you were assuming way to much. when you bought vanilla destiny, that is all you purchased.. the end user agreement allowed bungie to present to you the game they allow you to play. maybe I should be upset that when i upgraded to ps4 I had to buy guitar hero again because the old games didn't work, or that I had to purchase pga golf again becasue the old disc just doesn't play in the new system.. maybe I should get upset that I don't get the new body design for free on my 2010 charger that is in the 2016 version.. do you hear how ridiculous you sound.

1 ReplyThe DLC will cost $30 for everyone. For you to move to a new gen console is $40 which includes everything. That is not bad at all, they could just say pay normal price for the game and an extra $30 for the DLC.

Moneyvision

Yeah, because you bought it for a Microsoft product. I don't see Sony and Microsoft putting aside differences so entitled fools can get what they want.
-
I was under the impression when I bought my truck they'd give me a new model each year. I mean, I've made the payments but for some reason if I want a new version of my truck I have to pay more? Wtf right?
-
2 RepliesEveryone pays 30 for rise of iron. Legacy console players get rise of iron and all the previous expansions and vanilla for 40 dollars. You only pay 10 extra dollars than everyone else. They didn't even have to do that. Get over yourself.
-
Destiny dialogue an story are for babies. Real advanced babies that understand that switching from xbox to PS will have some sort of issue with regards to compatible games. "Hi I'd like a free copy of tetris for my atari lynx please because I bought it for my gameboy."
-
Don't do it.
-
1 ReplyHaha get a job filthy peasant
-
You don't have to buy it all over.
-
1 ReplyIf you go to Xbox 1 you keep all progress and it is only 40 dollars for destiny and all expansions which includes rise of iron. It's only 10 dollars more than just rise of iron.
