Something you might not know about ghosts

They can disassemble and reassemble atoms. This idea comes from the flavor text of the first armor set you get "your ghost built this from available mass. It handles life support, but little else". This also could be how your ghost respawns you; in the respawn animation, you can even see this in action, your body being rebuilt without the bullet holes. Or also how transmat works, the sparrow transmat animation is similar to the respawn animation.

  • What I don't get is why the ghost doesn't just keep you constantly full on heavy ammo.

          • Now here's a fun idea. So the ghosts looked for the bones, carcasses and rusting husks of those who could wield the traveller's light to scan our remains and rebuild us. Could the reason we have no memory be because there was no brain matter to replicate, or memory storage (in the case of exos)? This has some interesting ramifications. It implies that everything we are is nothing more than a sum of our parts. A brain can be remade, but without the original from which to copy memories we should have been resurrected as adults with the intellects of newborns. We clearly weren't. We could speak, knew how to walk, had our wits about us and knew how to use guns... etc. What does that mean for our guardians? If we were witless then it would seem ghosts can implant memories which explain how we knew what we did post resurrection. Or we are more than the sum of our parts, memories exist but are being selectively blocked or removed. Either way we are being manipulated in varying degrees. If knowledge is being implanted then why aren't we being given more knowledge about the traveller and the conflict we are in? And if memories are being suppressed, what are they trying to hide?

Pretty sure this was confirmed about how the Ghost keeps bringing you back a long time ago. Hence why Guardians are immortal so long as their Ghost lives. Still, probably a lot don't know it.

                        • We shouldn't have to go to the tower to access the vault or have ammo restrictions. Based on this, ghosts should be able to materialize whatever we need.

                                • I know how; hard light. Think of it. They can materialize us, sparrows and weapons in the form of light. And light eventually... Dissipates doesn't seem like the right word, but I'm rolling with it. Light dissipates, which is why your sparrows disappears, and why your weapons dematerialize when you put it away. So, it can't kill enemies, since it can only make, not destroy

                                      • I always thought that the guardian was essentially reconstructed from the light and the atoms and such came from your dead body and the surrounding environment. Whenever you die the ghost simply realigns the atoms according to your light pattern. It doesn't recreate a entirely new guardian. Whenever you transmat it simply shifts those particles along with the light those items or your guardian contain. They are always the same; except for the sparrows, which function as a blueprint and are formed from surrounding atoms.
