whoever thought of this is the biggest idiot in your company. it's literally rng if your bullets wanna hit? if you dont want us to fire hand cannons at their full rate of fire, then SLOW IT DOWN. but even that would be ridiculous. ruining their range is one thing, but BLOOM. an absolutely ridiculous nerf, something that makes 0 sense, and should have never been implemented. remove it now.
hand cannons were fine in year one, the exotics were the problem and you let our hand cannons be handicapped for an entire year. fix this shit now.
edit: some children are missing the point. if my reticle is on your head then it should hit. there is already massive recoil we have to compensate for, and there is also a recoil factor WE CANT F*CKING SEE. the fact that some people defend this is disturbing. if I can shoot at a hand cannons full rate of fire and aim well then I should be able to poop on the kids that can't. sucks but this is the real world. stop noob compensating.

2 RepliesEdited by Nebulrike: 8/8/2016 8:50:45 PM
There is no such thing as bullets just "disappearing", it is you trying to hit someone that is out of the Handcannons intended range and firing the gun to fast. If you never noticed that handcannons can no longer compete at Scout Rifle ranges because they are a close/medium range gun type.
I've used handcannons for a LONG time now, there are times where you hit them at close range and nothing happens. It even happens with The First Curse sometimes. Happens to The Last Word,Hawkmoon,The First Curse, and some legendaries depending on the type. Hell even my Down and Doubt has lower range then TLW and I don't usually get bloom on it,mostly just exotic hand cannons.
I have been using Handcannons pretty much most of my Destiny career and right now I'm doing just fine with Hawkmoon. If you haven't adjusted to the changes Handcannons got, than I'll give ya so tips. Do not shoot the gun fast; if you haven't noticed, the more you shoot a handcannon without lining up your shots, the more the recoil becomes unstable.
No,if you are able to use a hand cannon at its maximum ROF and control the recoil, you should NOT be punished for hitting all shots as soon as possible. That said, you should NOT have to lower the ROF to use it efficiently. Imagine how that is for The First Curse,a hand cannon with a low ROF has to be LOWERED to make sure all shots hit. Thats stupid. You are saying you should hesitate to pull the trigger because Bungie thought it would make sense for you to be punished for being able to control the recoil while using firing it at its ROF. You should be rewarded for controlling it,not punished.
Secondly; dont try to shoot someone of a handcannons range, the bullets with miss. Make sure that you choose your engagements to givr you the advantage. Now stop bitching and making excuses on why your bad with the weapon type, they are a true marksman's weapon.
You just said its a marksman weapon when bullets do no damage if you use it perfectly. Lol. If you use it perfectly, for the last god damn time, you should be rewarded, not pusnihrd for using it IN its range, while controlling it as you fire it as quickly as possible. Edit: I have 8000 more kills with hand cannons then you, with that said,I also have better stats. And if you are saying it doesn't matter, it does. It shows that I use them better and I have more experience. I have 36 days compared to your 15. I feel as if I know more on this subject then you. This was my argument to someone

3 RepliesCosmo confirmed handcannons are kinda screwed right now. As a hawkmoon user day 1, I look forward to the fix.

I get it a lot it's like you hear your gun go off but your shooting blanks.

72 RepliesLets be real. The handcannon really shouldn't be a primary in the first place. Deep breaths, in and out, in and out.. But it's true. Hand cannons should be sidearms. You can have a high rate of fire low impact magazine fed sidearm in semiautomatic pistol form, or a large caliber slow firing sidearm with high impact... But don't bring a pistol to a rifle fight. With the exception of a few very situationally dependent scenarios, nobody is going to pull out their revolver when there is still ammo in their rifle mag. But on that, something just really needs to be done about sidearms. They occupy an ugly middle ground between shotgun at point blank and fusion rifle at mid range. They feel like they have no reason to exist. Lumping them in with hand cannons mean you have an option between something to deal with rushing low level enemies (thrall) or something damage dealing to take care of bigger threats. Personally though I hope in Destiny 2 they just let you have two primary weapons and one heavy weapon, and ban certain weapons from crucible. If your two favorite weapons are a hand cannon and a scout rifle, then play with a hand cannon and a scout rifle. I almost never use special weapons because they just don't do enough damage to feel worth pulling them out.

3 RepliesDid I comment before? Yes. Am I still pissed this is a thing? Yes.

14 RepliesMy hand cannon shoots things just fine. Stop spamming the trigger then child.

I guess they figured that hawkmoon was a huge success with all its RNG so they just said "screw it" and gave every handcannons RNG.

Recoil isn't that bad in this game. Bloom has always been around and has been tied into the range stat, the reason HCs were a smidge better in Y1 is because range was pretty much sniper length for them back then. IMO Hand Cannons are the golden example of balance in this age of crucible, no buffs/nerfs are needed and you can have any combination of perks without feeling performance handicapped

2 RepliesBuff hand cannons by .04%

12 RepliesWithout bloom we're back in Y1. And we should never go back to Y1 when Hand Cannons are concerned. Ever. Especially now that Thorn is being brought back.

2 RepliesWhat's bloom?
-
Have this issue with the first curse
-
Not only is bloom a problem but the flinch that other guns cause to hand cannons is an absolute pain in the ass.

You can get your point across in a better and more mature way by not typing in all caps or name-calling. Don't call people that disagree with your opinions "children" in an attempt to make them feel and seem inferior.

4 RepliesHand cannons are crap now, used to love them but just can't perform as well as other guns
-
For love of the Traveler remove it!!!!
-
3 RepliesHow about instead of blaming the gun for your lack of skill, you actually realize its yourself and improve instead of blaming others
-
2 RepliesI recently picked up a Hawkmoon for the first time, and damn it's really good, but the ghost bullets are insane. There have been times where I've been gaping at my screen because I should have won a gunfight but the winning bullet evaporated.

12 RepliesHand cannons are too accurate they really don't need skill especially with the aim assist in the game If you don't want any restrictions on hand cannons then the aim assist has to go and we'll see who the true aces are out there and who just want handcannons to be an easy way to get kills just like in year one
-
I agree if snipers can hit their mark with a quick scope in the same spot why shouldn't hand cannon
-
Bump.
-
6 RepliesDoes somewone know if my imago loop is any good its on my warlock Im not really a hand cannon user just want to know if its any good
-
when bloom triggers, wolfpack rounds should also trigger. problem solved!
-
21 RepliesThe "pace your shots" thing they say is absolutely ridiculous btw. If your reticle is on the target and youre allowed to fire again, it should stick the landing. Not "no wait for your gun to stand still and then shoot," not in a game where time to kill is so short on any gun
