I just recently got the last word and I'm wondering if doing the quest is worth it. Thanks

It's my exotic of choice in PvP.

Do the quest, use the gun for a while, if you don't like it you could do one of two things 1. Let it rot forever in your vault OR 2. Get rid of it because it's forever in your kiosk
-
1 ReplyNo but the quest is easy and it's a cool gun so you might as well get it. It's kind of fun

4 RepliesEdited by SpecialKDude: 8/6/2016 2:58:12 PMBest shotgun ever. I had a hard time resorting back to other shotguns once I used it. It takes some time to master though. Only problem is it sometimes has phantom bullets.

1 Reply"If you can mount it right, it'll follow you till the end." Meaning if you learn how the weapon works and master it then you'll gain a possible new favorite weapon.

1 ReplyThe gun is worth the quest but the range needs to be buffed. I would love to see a range finder perk added to chaparone like that new exotic auto rifle for rise of iron. Bungie should give our exotics extra perks.
-
1 ReplyIt needs perks that can somehow proc. 10 seconds is nothing. Also lord of wolves feels much longer-distance, the two probably should feel similar in falloff.
-
1 ReplyThe Chaperone needs a buff severely
-
6 RepliesI'm an exotic collector I need to get them all. This shotgun have no place in the game ((sadly)) it's not worth the quest because any shotgun user is in a disadvantage using it. There are 3 PvP shotguns you should hunt for. -Conspiracy Theory-D from the Quest -A god roll Party Crasher ((RNG)) -Universal Remote It needs a buff.
-
It used to be worth it
-
Chea.
-
It's a cool gun and I like the fact that I completed the quest to earn it, but since it was nerfed it has lost it's exotic feel and is not really worth it.
-
1 ReplyIt would be better if it was a primary and switched with universal remote, it would feel more balanced then with infinite ammo
-
1 ReplyI love the chaperone! I'm not that good and still do decent with it. I also feel more accomplished when I get kills with it....opposed to other shotguns. Either way it's a lot of fun to use and prefer it over conspiracy theory and party crashed.
-
1 ReplyI'd say yes. Like the other Tex weapons it takes some getting used to but once you get the hang of head shots it's a beauty
-
1 ReplyIt's a grind, but a proficient precision shotgunners will enjoy this gun like crap
-
1 ReplyDefinitely needs some tweaking but it's fun. I have completed the quest twice it's not as hard as everyone says but you definitely want to go for head shots and play for longer kill streaks
-
1 ReplyNot worth the aggravation to get. It is severely lacking rightnow. But the quest might auto complete for you like the year 1 exotic bounties did when ttk dropped.
-
1 ReplyIt really needs a slight buff to range, right now you need to be pretty close and get a head shot for an OHK. Still a fun gun but will take some practice. When it first came out it was a beast, then the huge range nerf made it situational. I don't use it much as it has a hard time against any shotgun with shot package or Plan C. I think it's still worth getting, remember weapon balancing should be coming soon and it may get better.
-
2 RepliesIt'll probably get buffed next update, but rn it's just fun to use, not really worth it to use in trials that much, but just to mess around I'd say it's worth getting
-
1 ReplyIf you're a collector, yeah. Otherwise, meh. It's pretty easy to get in Mayhem Clash of you sit back with a Sniper and Machine Gun
-
1 ReplyIt's fun as hell to use. That reload action and sound? Priceless. Even if you can't get it to work for you in the Crucible it's great in PvE.
-
1 ReplyIt's fantastic if you have the thumb skill and reflexes to land the head shots. Works well with speed build hunters and titan skating. Haven't tested it on a warlock
-
They need to double the range on it.
