Do titans need a better class exclusive exotic?
As most players know, when you reach gunsmith rank 3, you get quests for a class exclusive weapon. The warlocks have the Tlaloc scout rifle and the hunters have the Ace of Spades hand cannon. The titans weapon is an auto rifle called the Fabian Strategy. I would be happy about this, but the Fabian Strategy isn't that great.
It is a good gun, but it's special perk is nearly useless. It is supposed to increase fire rate and stability when multiple enemies are close to the player, but there isn't much of a difference. The stability improves by about 3%.
I wish bungie made the titan exclusive a pulse rifle with a great stability stat, high rate of fire, low impact and a decent reload speed similar to the Hawksaw.

I like my Fabian. It's like a trip mine. I leave it on the floor near stairs and doorways. I can easily hear the cursing of my enemy as they trip and fall over that steaming pile of "exotic".

2 RepliesNo. Fabian is fine, it just needs that stupid damage nerf on Front Lines either taken out or vastly reduced. That one change, and it will go from "shard me" to "dominate with me".

It would be nice if when the front lines perk activates it kept some of the impact just not all of it

2 RepliesDefinitely. Fabian Strategy is worthless rn and it's legendary shotgun can only be used on 1 subclass while the super is active. Where the hunter and warlock can use their legendary weapon on any subclass. Titans got screwed in class exclusive weapons

Titans should have gotten a minigun instead of that crappy AR. At least a minigun would get used and also be worthy of an exotic slot.

2 RepliesThere's actually nothing wrong with Fabian Strategy. I know it's not really that good right now compared to many others, but that's just a cyclical thing all guns go through. It'll be beast again. I'd be surprised if it isn't back to top or at least near top form with ROI. It's just caught in a bad place atm due to the recent bout of nerfs and buffs. Its basically a double archetype gun depending on situations and the last round of balancing caused this one to end up un-balanced lol.

Yea, Ace of Spades and Tlaloc are Monsters!! Fabian is...well...it looks and sounds cool...I guess it makes sense, Fabian the Delayer, you delay killing your opponent as longs as possible when you use this gun.

I agree either buff the current weapons or get better ones. Personally I think the Warlock has the best ones with Tlaloc and Susano.

1 ReplyAll true the gun just I isn't fit for purpose the way it stands at the moment, and is out classed by other guns of its archetype. It's just another exotic that feels like a legendary and there are many of those.

i used it successfully for the weapons master quest. its a solid gun if you know how to work its limitations. everyone just wants a gun that works everywhere for every situation.

1 ReplyAs a titan main, yes fabian strategy needs a massive rework. I feel that the 3 class exclusive primaries should all have one thing in common - exotic Perk works when super energy is full. Tlaloc becomes a monster when the Perk is working, it's good without as well. If bungie rework the fabian strategy and ace of spades to do this as well it'll make them great. For example: Fabian strategy exotic Perk - bulletproof. Getting a kill whilst super energy is full grants an overshield. Whilst overshield is active, fabian strategy magazine doubles in size.

12 RepliesEveryone says it's garbage but it's actually pretty damn good. It can be like a Monte Carlo and doctrine. Solid range and great stability, the exotic perk gives it a boost to pretty much everything. You even get more bullets if you reload when the perk was active. It's only 4 bullets but that's 80 more damage without it firing faster and 60 with it. It's not super op but it's a solid weapon and a rather balanced one. The Titan exclusive shotgun needs some reworking. It's effect is cool but next to useless. No one wants to run into a bubble when they clearly see a shotgun.
