Your first point is crap. If i do less damage because i don't want to play with these weapons then why are there other weapons in the end?

Variety? Weapon preference? No matter how much damage AR's do, I just don't like them, so I'll always gravitate towards a SR/HC in PVE regardless of damage output. People choose to use what they like. If people like FB, they should be able to use it. Its not really a dominant PVP gun, so its use is primarily in PVE. If people use it, it means its fun. We need MORE of that in PVE, not less.

Variety and weapon preference shouldn't give me a disadventage against that one loadout.

Edited by BXR Lonestar: 8/3/2016 3:18:42 PMIts PVE. How are you disadvantaged? If it takes you longer to run a strike than someone else, but you are not even in the same strike, what does that matter? Rewards in your strike are not even based on your performance in the strike its all RNG. So again- I don't see how you are disadvantaged at all other than a pyschological schism that someone may be using something "better" than you are. But if your choosing not to use FB, you already know that, and presumably you are accepting all the consequences that go with it. That is why it is called weapon CHOICE. HC's do more single shot damage than SR's, PR's, and AR's. People still choose to use things other than a HC in PVE. Why? Weapon preference and because each class of weapon has pros/cons. So you select your weapon based on your evaluation of those pros/cons. If you don't want to feel forced to use a FB, fine. Nobody is forcing you to. But the fact that people would want to restrict others from using a primarily PVE gun in PVE on the basis that it would somehow effect them is ridiculous. We should be able to use whatever guns we want in PVE. If we like a certain gun, there should be no reason why we shouldn't be able to use it. And I don't think the argument about "other mmo's release new content and make old gear obsolete" applies here. In most other MMO's, the gear you can use is often based on the level of your character. So some the equivilent of legendary and exotic items can always be equipped, but as you advance your character in level, you gain access to better tiers of gear. When new content is released, they give you BETTER gear to replace the gear you had previously, and you get to make the choice to walk away from your old gear. The problem with using what I term the "MMO Argument" in Destiny is they haven't replaced our old gear with BETTER gear, just "different" gear. Which turns out just to be reskins of guns with worse perks for the most part. Sleeper doesn't even BEGIN to replace G-horn. Which is probably why they are bringing it back. I believe Bungie is already conceding that they should never have left Y1 gear behind by bringing back so many pieces of Y1 gear. Thorn? G-horn? They've already brought back most of the Y1 non-raid exotics. They're also bringing back class armors. So just stop pussy-footing already; stop picking and choosing what gets to come up and what doesn't. Just bring it ALL forward and let players choose what they like. And if elemental primaries are limiting diversity, then just make it so you can obtain items in endgame activities that will add that burn to kinetic weapons. PROBLEM SOLVED. Super easy, no drama.
