Snipers OP?
OK look a sniper rifle takes skill to use. I can't just run around with it one shotting to the body. It's very hard to pull off a no scope with one. Recently I got a precision kill no scope on a Titan who shoulder charged me. There's literally no reason why I shouldn't have killed him. If you get your reticule on someone's head and land a precision, that should be a one shot kill like it or not. Its way easier to use a shotgun...run slide shoot, blink shoot, so don't complain about snipers if youre running up with your shotgun\fusion rifle and get killed via no scope, quick scope, whatever... don't scream nerf because because your shotgun can't one shot an armored super. It takes a lot more skill to snipe an arcblade\hammer\stormcaller than it does to wait til they get within short range for you to shoot and melee. If a fusion rifle can one shot body. If a shotgun can one shot body. Then don't complain that sniper can shut down a super with a headshot. they are not op and do not need a nerf. You need to figure out how to combat against one

6 RepliesNo, you shouldn't get a no scope kill on a Titan shoulder charging you. Right here is part of the problem with snipers. They are effective at any range. No matter your skill with a shotgun, sidearm, fusion rifle - you're not successful outside of the weapons range. You can't be. It isn't the only problem.

After 6 nerfs the damage dropoff starts at melee range on high impact, high range shotguns, so if you get killed by a shotgun you were simply outplayed. Btw destiny has the easiest sniping mechanics of any fps, it take minimal skill.

They need to slow scope time significantly and reduce or remove aim assist

With snipers running away will be way easier not to mention snipers flinch is basically nothing. Shotguns are useless at range, snipers are supposed to be useless at close and medium range but they aren't because of flinch. Tbh snipers are pretty broken and they make Crucible so boring. Snipers don't have to worry about supers like FoH, arc blade, and a few others maybe even hammer of sol. Shotguns have to worry about all that. And if u have a high impact sniper u only have to worry about getting headshots if the target is fresh. Since most snipers sit at hallway ends or doorways with other people it's not rare to just have a body shot kill so good aim isn't even needed half of the time. Hate me all you want but because of a lack of flinch, it doesn't matter if primaries are good again if snipers can kill you as they are taking shots, that's actually broken believe it or not. Ik everyone hates this term sooooooooo much but here we go because of flinch snipers are OP imo. Yup I said it now talk shit all you want lol

10 RepliesThere are alot of people who are just bad at the game that dont know how easy it is to counter snipers. While decent players can shotgun snipers fine there are those that barely go positive & mostly cry in the forums instead of trying to adapt. Destiny tournaments/sweats vs top players are 80% shotgun and people just don't know that, hopefully someday people will learn to adapt instead crying for nerfs.

If your crying about it, then don't get sniped by one. Or if your a scrub pull out MIDA or Jade to counter them. If your really scrubby pull out a felwinters! Problem solved, stop complaining!

Speaking of that I lost a trials game last night because a hunter Jumping no scope head shorted me out of my super, jumping no scoped my friend out of his blade and then hit a no scope body + melee

Snipers are too easy to use, make them all 3 body shot killers and bolt action. Too many people just spray 4 shots while hard scoping. I do snipe and shotgun though.

U say they aren't op but anyone, I mean anyone can use a sniper and the person hard scoping a lane first has an advantage over everything, grenade, primary, another sniper, super. To be a dominate sniper definitely takes skill the problem is people that actually don't have thumb skill that can hard scope a door way and at least get a body shot that takes u absolute is what has people saying that because it is true.
