Match making

Match making in general has gotten way out of hands for PvP. So many things they try and tweak for really, no apparent reason. Who wanted SBMM, I've never heard anyone, throughout any shooter, not just Destiny say SBMM is terrible. Every shooter I play connects you with people within your region or area. For example I live in the PNW. Why do I match make with people, literally in another country? Just because they have a relatively close KD to me? I didn't think they realize how bad of connections EU to NA players get. There is a reason why EU and NA teams don't play each other only on LAN... Also, who really enjoys sitting in Orbit for literally 5-10 minutes. It's sad because if you pop a rep booster, half of that is going to be sitting in orbit, trying to find people relatively close to you. Destiny by far is the slowest match making system for any shooter. Really go try for your self. In any Call of Duty I find a lobby instantly. I even find lobbies for Mw2 faster than Destiny. All because this horrible match making system they have implemented. Hell, once you find a lobby you might as well stick with it because that's literally all you are going to match made with. I never thought Destiny could connect you to the same game, boy was I wrong. Don't bother playing in groups unless you all have less then positive KDs. From what I've heard from major streamers is, Destiny match makes you with the highest KD in your Fire team. So for example if you're the fire team leader with let's say a 1.9-2.5 KD and everyone else is literally a negative KD, it will match make you with people that have the KD most closest to your leader. How does any of that make sense? No wonder why Iron Banner is unplayable. It's not the game It's self, it's the people who made the PvP system. Why do community managers talk about things such as match making (cough cough cozmo) that have no insight to the actual game make statements about it? It really doesn't make any sense. I'm sorry but either there has to be changes or the Dev team needs to go. In my opinion they try too hard to perfect what we "supposedly want" in the game. It seems like with every new patch there is a subclass perk that gets exploited since they only decide to look at small factors at the game patch by patch at a time. Everything is just questionable to me at this point with PvP.
